Deposit For 2021 Yamaha and still waiting?

Wow!!!! This is just horrible guys... honestly this is just crazy to see delays this long and no communication about deliveries..

Can you get a broker to buy a new boat? Was just thinking if you could just tell them this is my price range and I’m Willing to travel X miles.. go find me a boat. Not sure if that’s even possible??

so many supplies chains have been up ended and no end in sight. So much pent up demand is making things even worse. No way for anyone to catch up.

So my local dealer said they are taking $500 deposit for when things come in. However, I’m not able to “order” options. What does this mean because I read these posts that say their order came in.

@Inlikeflinn, I think it means they have inventory coming in not spoken for and if you give them a deposit you can have dibs on something.

if you don’t like the boats with the options already on it then tough $&@!... they will go to the next person.

@Inlikeflinn There are no options on Yamaha's. Pick your model and it is what it is for the most part. All models are the same, except for colors. Usually two per model, unless I missed something.

Hi, new here. Stopped at my local dealer yesterday to buy a Yamaha 190/195. Nothing at all in stock (even awaiting delivery) and all incoming inventory had anywhere from two to four backup buyers.

I'm on the #1 on the list for a 2022 SX190. "Maybe" August, but seeing this thread, probably not.

I lol'd at the statement above. Ship stuck in the Suez Canal was full of Yamaha components & products.

When I picked my 255 XE last week, my dealer told me that Yamaha will lock in 2021 pricing for 2022 pre-order ($500 deposit).

I was also told back in January that only boats that were already ordered by the dealer were going to be delivered this season (ie my dealer had already ordered the boat for his own inventory and I put a deposit on it). Luckily, my dealer had ordered the exact boat I wanted

One last thing, my dealer didn’t know the boat was coming till right before it arrived (for those in the dark, don’t give up.. I know that the wait is very frustrating).

Just received word from my dealer that my boat (212SD), which was ordered 10/1/20, won't even be on the production line for 45 days. Meaning I likely won't receive the boat until toward the end of the summer. And I already sold my other boat. So frustrating.

Seriously? Wow..I'm sorry buddy. I really feel for you guys and have Never heard of delays like this ever before.

Hang in there everyone. On a brighter note, maybe the will get some of the Quality Control issues fixed and you'll get a better product in the long run.

As well as the new boats being backed up cross your fingers that you don't have any mechanical issues and need parts. My boat has been sat at a dealer waiting on parts for a fix to the intermediate bearing since January. They have no idea when parts may become available, so it just sits there waiting.

You may want to just cancel it and get a 2022 if you won't receive it till end of summer. Find other things to do and explore this summer which you wouldn't have done if you had the boat. Seems as now since we got our boat last spring, we are missing some of the things we used to do that are not boat related. That is what I would do personally, get in line now for 2022. If you ever decide to sell it has a more current year on it. Plus if something happens before they start building your boat they could cancel...... I hope not, but then a couple months from now not sure what the line will be for the 2022's.

The dealer that has my1st deposit said that if my 2921 did come in it would automatically convert to a 2022. Hope it doesn't come to that.

Hopefully this isn't a sign that we will be waiting too much longer but hopefully actually having an ETA from Yamaha is at least a positive....

At least you have some information to go with. I have a deposit with two dealers, neither has any real information regarding delivery.

Just curious about when you placed a deposit down for this boat. Knowing this info might help those of us deeper in the line have some sense of when.
