Engine Just quit

Remember the dealers told people the cleanout plug blew because it was not installed properly and many people had to cover the damage out of their own pocket. so we have timing chains breaking with less than 50 and as low as 27 hours really!!

@Cobra Jet Steering LLC, I guess that Yamaha's shortcomings have been good for your business. When are you going to give us a cost-effective TC fix?
Do you sell the tie rod on its own?
I currently do sell the tie rod separately on my web page however that only addresses part of the total package, adding the extra fins for both slow speed response and high speed response improves those areas and then for 39 dollars more you can add the fangs to reduce the stresses placed on the helm and cables, providing power steering plus they improve reverse control.
Remember the steering helm was changed to a rack and pinion system and the travel in the wheel that turns the nozzles and big factory rudder was increased considerably to reduce the resistance the driver feels in the wheel , however that resistance is there feel it or not so reducing that resistance by helping the nozzles turn hydraulically at such a small cost is really the way to go. the entire system with the fins, tie rod and fangs is only $363.25 and even adding in the EZ locks takes it to only 389.75 with free domestic shipping if that isn't enough it comes with a 30 day money back guarantee.

What material and grade are these timing chains made from? Would a titanium chain be any better? I have a 2016 so hopefully not an issue for me but for those looking to prevent it with 2015 and older 1.8l my guess is swapping the chain to a stronger one would be a lot easier than the full upgrade kit.

@Cobra Jet Steering LLC - Putting up for the season now but I will be buying your entire ultimate steering package next season before I launch. I think it is far superior to the articulating keel.

Damn Jeff.....What no free installation?? Lol Love your products and the support you give.:winkingthumbsup"

Actually I forgot that thanks for reminding me, I do free installations on any of my systems this is often done with the 4 tec systems since the customer can mail me just the nozzle or nozzles and I do the install and return the nozzles ready to be placed back on the boat. The only extra charge is the shipping and if we use the flat rate boxes from the post office it is usually under 14 dollars, also local people bring me the boat on a trailer and I install the parts at no extra charge. Or I can go to them if they are not too far away. Always have.

What no Hamburgers and Beer while we wait??? lol

Naaaa no beer "I don't drink actually" and I can't cook, but you can certainly go visit the wing house while you wait!
