Pulled away from the marina last Saturday and got hit with this code on my port engine. Overall seems to be running fine other than the sync between the 2 engines was lagging. The lagging is something I've noticed, especially at anything below 5,000 RPMs, the last couple of times we've been out. The port engine will be about 1,000 RPMs higher and then a few seconds later the starboard engine catches up.

Can't find a reference to that code anywhere and still waiting on my local Scarab dealer (Russell Marine - Smith Lake AL) to call me back. There are some automobile references to that code meaning the air/gas mixture is too rich. I have struggled to find non-rec fuel on the lake so I've been using rec fuel which is maybe where my problem is.

Anyone have this same issue or error code? Anyone have issues running rec fuel in their Scarab?

Update in case anyone else stumbles on this. Turns out my issue was how I start the boat. Dealer told me to start both motors at the same time. So that’s how I’ve been doing it. Until...

I had to jump my boat, dead battery, and so started the motors one at a time. The jump pack couldn’t handle doing them simultaneously.

Seems silly and obvious to me know, but I never questioned what they told me when I picked it up. Hope this helps someone.
