Got a new towing rig! ...and mods to 1500 Ram

LOL, yeah @Eurocat . Sold her a few weeks ago.

21 years on the marriage as of last Saturday, 5 years on my current Thing @Murf'n'surf . Next truck is gonna be a keeper though!

Got home from the dealer about an hour ago. Specced out a new 2500 Limited. Likely placing the deposit next week and getting her built, just finalizing some numbers. Might push the start date back to mid october - just so I can take advantage of any extra rebates in December when she's finished, but it's just about a done deal.

(FWIW, I do miss the Eco. First truck I've truly enjoyed - just need more towing capacity/payload, and I *really* wanted the rambox!)

I've got a nice bedcover for ya if you get the 6'4" bed!;)

Ram boxes are cool as a functional feature but screw the body lines:(

Limited? I'm jelly!:greedy:

Yeah, originally specced a Laramie, but with everything I wanted, it was more! Then I saw the Limited actually had full leather, which made it a no brainer.

Only downside is this likely pushes my new boat back a bit...

Well, guess BAK will do the right thing after all. Not only will they replace my cover at no charge, but they will upgrade it to the premium one at no cost to me even though I started my claim a couple of weeks past warranty.
In my book this sets them above the rest. A company that will stand behind their products like this deserves a 2nd chance.
The premium cover has a 3 year warranty so it should be a bit sturdier than this one. Pity it does not have the vinyl cover over the panels that gives it a cleaner look like the VP.
I'll post a couple of pics once I have the new one installed.

I'm about to order a retractable tonneau at Tonneau Covers - 4WheelOnline.com glad I checked the forum first. I'm looking at RetraxOne or RollBak. BAK seems have good costumer service, especially with your claim and I haven't heard much issues with them lately based on their consumers. How's the premium cover now?

I'm still having great luck with our Bak Revolver rollup. I get asked all over about it whether it's up or down.
