I purchased this Rain-x glass cleaner and rain repellent last weekend and I must say I am very impressed with it. I boat in salt water and this makes cleaning a breeze. All the black plastic around the helm and throttles cleans so easily along with the windshield, tower and windshield frame. Give it a try you will be impressed too. My 2017 just passed 75 hrs and looks better than when she came off the lot.

Is it rated to work on plastic?

Rain X does not advise to use it or their regular formula on anything other than glass. It is basically water and acetone, so some plastics would be fine while others could degrade or get damaged. It just depends on the type of plastic. That being said his interior looks amazing and better than new!

Well now your making me nervous. Rain-x does make a spray strictly for plastic so I will be switching to that. Thanks for the heads up. So straight acetone will damage plastic that bears a close enough similarity to acetone, the acetone will dissolve or at least affect its surface. Plastics, dissimilar to acetone, will remain unaffected by the solvent. I'm not willing to be the test subject.

On offense intended but it sounds like you already are a test subject, fortunately just a short term one.

Pledge, trust me.

On everything. Glass especially!

Takes all waterspots off windscreen.

Lemon Pledge? Do you scrub everything clean first?

Pledge, elbow, clean, clean!

Spray over bugs, gone.

Lemon pledge, behold sucks compared too.
