First let me start by saying thank you to all of those who've served and a big thank you to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

I hope all of you get to enjoy your boats in some fashion or another. The weather here is still in the low 70's and not quite ideal for boating however it was perfect today to knock off the dust and rub her down. My arms are sore but she glistens in the sun... if it ever decides to show up. I will be out on a different lake next weekend. Smith Mountain Lake, we are ready! Hope y'all have a great weekend and be safe!

Not at all a rip at @Englewoodcowboy , who quite properly remembers the 'reason for the season' and properly hails those who served and who have served. But I thought I would mention this that I heard from a commentator, who was a gold star parent: her opinion was that we should not wish a 'happy' Memorial Day. There is, indeed, nothing happy about the fact that so many had to sacrifice so much for what we have. It is a blessing to us; something for us to remember; a debt if you will. But probably not happy.

It struck me. So I 'strike' it to you for your consideration. Remember well this Memorial Day those who served and gave their all. We give thanks to them all.
