Looking to add a second tie rod to my 2016 AR240.
It is the link between the articulated keel and the jet nozzle.
If you have the tie rod or anything that would help me assembling a kit I’m interested.

Check with @Cobra Jet Steering LLC

@Neutron is right, Jeff had it for a few bucks more than tracking down the individual parts yourself, but if he's out of stock, it is possible to piece everything together yourself. Only thing you have to figure out is how long the bolt needs to be that will replace the OEM bolt on the rudder. You'll need a longer one to hold 2 tie rods.

Thank you guys. I reached out to @Cobra Jet Steering LLC.
Waiting for him to come back.
I tried to advise you what to do, I do not see any benefit to adding a second tie rod to a rudder that is stiff when driving>
The second tie rod holds the nozzle alignments in place rather than the steering cables similar to how a car holds the wheel alignment.
And it splits the work load so both sides last longer and it creates redundancy in the twin system if either side fails you still have full steering and if you just remove the rudder and add the correct steering to both nozzles like several of my customers have done you won't need to deal with it locking up and making the steering difficult any more. You will also get a huge improvement in steering at all speeds and be able to set the level to your personal needs
I appreciate that you understand I own the patent on adding the second tie rod and you did not violate the federal patent laws by pirating one however the rudder is the issue and I am not here just to sell you something .
If it would solve your problem I would be happy to but it won't.
NOW as for reverse steering on a twin engine jet boat just learn the split throttle trick and you won't need to spend a single dollar to move the boat sideways in reverse without loosing any of your backing and stopping power nor ever need to shut one engine off to get it to go sideways when backing.
ON YOUR setup the mega fang plus increases real reverse power and stopping power plus it creates a power steering effect on plane.
If you do not want to spend any money making the boat a better and safer boat for you and your family to enjoy more.
Just pull the pivot rod on the rudder clean the rod and the area where it pivots in and use some bees wax to lube it ,bees wax works great in the water and does not dissolve that is why it is used for toilet base rings. And it is very inexpensive. Feel free to discuss this with me but please understand I will tell you the truth I have 23 years of experience making jet boats steer and drivers smile.

Thank you.
I will take the AK off as a first step and lubricate the pin before exploring the Mega Fan option.
I would still like to explore the option of a second tie rod to "splits the work load so both sides last longer and it creates redundancy in the twin system if either side fails you still have full steering". @Cobra Jet Steering LLC please let me know price and availability.

The tie rod with both ends nock nuts and necessary bolts to put both on the rudder and the second one on the left nozzle with domestic shipping is $129.00 you will need me to send you an invoice if you wish to order the kit.

Thank you! Sent you my email address in PM.

ok I also need the ship to address so I can send you the invoice

all set ships in the morning
