Jet Ski recommendations

Ok, speaking of JetSki recommendations. . . . . I asked my local dealer to let me know if he got any good ski's on trade as we are interested in picking one up. He sent this yesterday:

"Just took in two pre-owned Yamaha Waverunners in on trade let me know if your have interest.

2013 Blue Yamaha VX Cruiser 4cly 110hp 50-54 mph with 30 hours of use in fresh water. $6800

2013 Blue Yamaha FX SHO Cruiser 30 hours of use in freshwater $8400

I will include a trailer as part of the sale."

I know nothing about either. . . . Thoughts?

They look like decent prices to me. KBB on the FX SHO is $9300, not including a trailer. The trailer is worth $500.

The fact that they were in freshwater would appeal to me more as well.

I'd want the new vx with the tr-1 but I would be tempted for the SHO

I think The vx price is low for a 2013 compared to what's on Craigslist locally here, 2006 vxs for about $5k.

KBB was cheaper. . .

I like kbb pricing better most of the time but in season private sellers rarely sell at kbb or nada pricing, that's what I've noticed around here anyway.

Here is an ad I just called and texted on. It's probably a scam but I call on them anyway In case they turn out to be legitimate deals i can't pass up. Had one before, for 2 750 ss jetskis and a trailer that were only 3 years old at the time for $2k. I had to drive 1k miles round trip to close the deal but it was so worth it. Hope this one is the Same but wouldn't bet on it.image.jpeg

Hey Ronnie, I got a bridge to sell you. . . . . = )

What's the kbb on it?

I know the seadoo ad is false, when they are real i get an almost immediate response. In the 750 ss situation the seller gave me his number and when we spoke it was all about when and where to complete the transaction. Here I haven't heard anything yet, not even a the skis are out of the state mail me a check for shipping which will be credited towards the purchase follow up scam statement.

$6500 I think.

Nada Guides is what most dealers use, I have a subscription to NADA Guides Connect (what dealers use and pay for), here is the low down on the ski's:

FX ho CRUISER will make you very happy and remember they have a starting point on the price that may not be their end price if you work the deal correctly, go look at the ski and check the seat stitching for ripping also the front of the hull for any separation or weak spots just at the bottom of the curve where the hull makes contact with the ground. try to get the ski O T D for that number.
