I consider myself lucky since we boat in Canada all the time, we have NEXUS and Trusted Travelers cards, quick phone call and that's it. $50 for 5 years is well worth it

https://svrs.cbp.dhs.gov/Default.aspx is what you are looking for. Personally I do not have a nearby customs office for the interview so I go to the customs office and check in on our return. The call to immigrations before leaving the marina takes longer than clearing in person.
We have our interview scheduled in Savannah on the way down. They said once the interview is done we would get an email in 15min or less with our numbers.

Im sure its at least double in Bimini but in Central Florida its $1.96 right now
debating on filling my jugs this weekend

Maybe I'll "top off" my 240 gallon tank since it's dropping just in time for the trip. This is the only time I completey fill up.

I like my $1.84 a gallon :(

With only 240 gallons the struggle is real. I'd hate for you to only be able to go over and back three or four times on one tank lol

Depending on how much running around I do, I may not need gas in Bimini....
Although I always have added some before crossing back.

$4.90 here in Abaco right now for fuel

do you tow with FULL TANK or near empty?

Either I will have 50gallons or 10gallons(not running completely dry)
1 gallon of gas = 6.3 lbs
315lbs for 50gal
63lbs for 10gal

so the difference is 252lbs...

what's y'alls opinion?

ME ??
Near empty if possible.
That's about 1260 lb difference for me.
I have about 280 miles to tow. The weight difference will affect my MPG some, but not a whole bunch. I usually get about 9-10 with my Duramax.
It's my trailer tires that concern me with the HOT Florida pavement and the additional weight, combined with some very rough bridge transitions that adds up to blown tires and extra travel time...

I think its a great reason to put in another 5 hours of boating before the trip... Let me go tell my wife.

I tow full. I've tried it both ways and I like the feel of the boat behind the truck with a full tank. Empty it feels like it is less balanced and bounces more. I haven't noticed enough of a drop in mileage to sway me to towing empty. If I had a 250 gallon tank, I may feel different. Lol

I suppose it comes down to preference.
