Thanks Bruce. Am I right in my understanding that we do not need to do anything when we go from Fll to Bimini?

You do not need to notify the US of your departure.

You will need to check in in Bimini - Customs

which side of the Bahia Mar do we dock? north of south?

You go to the office by the fuel dock to check in then dock in the slip you are assigned.

Please modify the last sentence. Don't jinx it. :banghead:

I do statistics for a living, but when it comes to Bimini crossing weather is all about superstition. Savoring on good weather prior to departure is like feeding the Gremlins after midnight. :nailbiting:

Lol, I was just thinking that... I budgeted for $6 gas. :woot:

There has some insurance discussion about Bahama coverage.
I just modified mine for the trip. Here is the declaration page from Farmers/Foremost.

Yohoo. My boat is half empty and I will be in Orlando on Sunday.

This is somewhat true. If you are using the SVRS system, you must file a float plan with passenger and vessel information AND activate it prior to departure. This is easily done on through a website.

BTW, I highly recommend the SVRS program. You clear into the US with a phone call, no need to drag your crew and boat to the customs office and wait in line. Call while on the intercoastal and you're done. Load the boat up and drive home...

I sound like Osama's illegitimate son, noway customs clears me over the phone. LOL

That's why you have the appointment in person at a customs office for approval to participate in SVRS. You get finger printed and background checked prior to participation.

We didn't get fingerprinted. The guy barely even spoke to us. Lol

I am trying to knock out all lose ends and one of the things is the flags and custom clearance in US. Correct me if I am wrong..

Flags - USA , JetBoaters , Bahamian and Yellow flags
Get pre-clearance from us customs. How do I do this ?

We are going to Baltimore on Thursday for the 15 minutes SVRS interview.
