JetBoaters.net Bimini Fling July 10th to 15th 2017

My boat is close to 3 years old now. It has been almost exclusively a saltwater boat. Every time I take it out of the saltwater I wash it with soap and water and flush the engines each of them five to 10 minutes with a little bit of soap and water squeezed into the clean out ports. I also spray down the engine compartment , after it dries I also use a whole can of marine grade silicone and spray the whole engine compartment both engines everything I can possibly see. You cannot find one spot of rust anywhere on my boat.

LOL..Its was an easy fix , just a few bolts that came loose.. other than that, no complains what so ever..
That's a small inconvenience to being Air Isaac! ;-)

We could plan a Silver Glen Springs day after for everyone to stop at on the way home! Nice 3 hour flush and relax in crystal clear spring water!! I know trying to add an extra day will not work for most but it would be awesome!
That's basically in my back yard!!

I think we would be down for that even if not a full day. Don't know that i will be wanting to drive right away after the trip anyways.

It would be 5 hours maybe from Haulover to launch in DeLand. Just up 95 then onto 44 North of Palm Bay.

Does anyone know how much it is per gallon for water use at the slips?

What will you use the water for? I have topped up my 16 gallon shower tank at the slip without being billed. Doing so at the fuel dock was quite expensive.

I have also used water at the dock the last two years and have not got billed for it.
Last year they assigned me a slip and I went to go dock My boat and somebody was in my slip I went back to the office and they said, "No problem" park someplace else....so I think it would be very hard for them to keep track of whos got their boat in what slip and who is using what spicket.

Is that the same situation for electricity, or do they really want the $10 per day?

@Bruce the only thing would be to hose off a hot seat
I voted against using the water on our last trip I try and keep costs down where ever I can so I can travel more often

In the past electricity was billed by the KW hour. I have not been billed for it but likely never used more than a couple of KW during my entire stay.

Currently the marina is operated by Mr. Roberts who owns Bimini Sands. In March the POA is supposed to take over the marina. I will address the situation with the POA then. Compared to Florida prices power is around 3 times more expensive and water is 25 times more expensive in Bimini. All power comes from generators on North Bimini. Not certain about the source of the water but the expensive electricity is used to pump or produce it. That is why the condos do not have bath tubs.

better run a longggg extension from the condo :D

Just received verbal confirmation that we've been given 17 P. I'm sure that's the same exact one we got last year ...

Last years thread showed you in 15B. Building 17 is beside the small pool and office complex.

I'll just leave this here...

What just happened. Is this hitting sailboat thing gonna happen? Now i'm scared! I need a fireball shooting gun on the front of my speedboat that reaches 100 mph!
