JetBoaters.net Bimini Fling July 10th to 15th 2017

So it looks like my mom and stepdad are going to Bimini with us but they may have to fly out Thursday from bimini or take the ferry back does anyone know the ferry schedule, cost and where it drips off at

If I remember right 2-3 planes crashed the week we were at Bimini last year. Just sayin......

Thanks dick lol way to make me feel better about it. We will talk about this as the sand bar lol

Actually it was only one that was going for a test flight. I have never heard of problems with the commercial flights but the water around the island is littered with heavily loaded planes that were flying night with their lights off and did not radio for help. Perhaps the pilots had a little too much of their product?

MarkEnMiami has registered to captain Mogi with a crew of 2 adults and children. They hail from the home port of Black point marina Miami.

The crew is described as: Manny Arca 61 year old sailer and resident from miami scuba diver
Marky 40 year old Texan in miami. Live in south miami and boated for over 31 years +

We saw the smoke plume from one of them on our first day there while we were cruising up the channel to North Bimini.

Just going over some other things and realized Chub Cay is still closed from Matthew with the financial trouble that island has had I wonder is they will reopen. That could make future Exuma trips a struggle with vessels that have 75 gallon fuel tanks or less.

I underatand Chub has had issues with bankruptcy and fuel supply for years. Hopefully that situation will improve .

Just to be clear, issues at Chub Cay do not in any way effect our Bimini plans.

I am Having issues with the links. I send two registration forms but yet to hear from anyone as to what I need to do next.

You need to make reservations with Bimini Sands for a condo during our stay then with the Bahia Mar DoubleTree for July 9th and the Bahia Mar Marina for the 9th. Forms, contact info, discounted rates etc are in the second post of this thread which can be accessed via this link https://jetboaters.net/threads/jetboaters-net-bimini-fling-july-10th-to-15th-2017.11966/#post-205534

Guys. Last thing I want to hear is planes going down ;) Booked my wife and kids on a flight to Bimini. Don't tell me I need to switch to a ferry now Lol

@Drift Away, @Betik, @Amar Nanduri I have never heard of a Bimini commercial flight having issues. Despite that I prefer to know my family is safely on the boat.

I have debated some many times back and forth about this. I always reach the same conclusion. How can I trade an uncertainty ( commercial flight) with a guaranteed disaster (Betik on his first crossing).....

Let see the plan is fly in, sail out. :jimlad:
