Just bought a 2017 Chaparral 223 VRX.

We were Seadoo wave runner people for years but that was a lifetime ago.

Getting back into it and got an incredible deal on this 223.

We have some pretty simple operational questions that we didn't want to bog down the seller with.

Was hoping someone can answer them.

1st How do you turn the front flip up Nav light on? Seems like it should be simple but so far we have not had luck

Appreciate any help

Dave

Congrats on the new boat!

I can’t answer your question, but if you haven’t yet joined, there is also a private Facebook group of Chaparral Vortex owners that would be good source of info.

Appreciate that.

I will check that out.

Hi Dave,

Congrats on your new Chaparral 223 VRX! Usually, the switches for the navigation lights are located on the helm console. There should be a labeled switch or set of switches for different lighting systems on the boat.
Thank you. We eventually found the switch, didn't realize it was a 3 position switch.
Turns out the light over the tower was burnt out so in the only position we were putting the switch nothing was happening.

2 trips out and things have been great. Only thing we've noticed and not sure if anyone seeing this thread has a Chaparral 223 vrx when we are switching from dock mode to cruise mode it appears it takes a few minutes for the throttle response to come back?

If anybody could speak to that I'd appreciate it. We get switched over to cruise mode (cruise control is off) and when you up the throttle nothing happens. We back it to neutral and wait a few minutes and it eventually comes back.

Thanks

Dave
