My 2015 Yamaha 242 Limited S

On a related note I've abandoned the idea of getting a 2015 ls but not a 2015 sx. Unfortunately or fortunately for me my local dealer hasn't gotten any 2015 models yet and doesn't expect any for at least a few more weeks. They were pushing the remaining '14s they have in stock which include a lightly used ls for $57k, an L for $52k and an sx for $45k or $48k (I can't remember which now). It doesn't matter, if its not a 2015 I'm not interested since it isn't much different from what I already have.

@Ronnie curious why you would want to go from an LS to an SX?

I'm just toying with the idea to get the major upgrades in the 2015 line (i.e., the keel, touch screen and quiet ride). Also I don't need a tower at all, for my storage situation it has been more of a hassle than it is worth. All the other differences between the ls and sx are just nice to have fluff items in my opinion. Berber carpet v standard carpet. Swim deck cushions which make me less likely to step on the swim deck, docking lights which I never use, etc. moreover the price difference between the two models is significant. Again I'm just toying with the idea of "upgrading" to a 2015. Even with the lower price I'm pretty sure the incremental cost will be high and hard for me to justify given that the power plants are the same (I.e., I wouldn't see any or much improvement where acceleration and top speed are concerned).

Sounds good to me. You would love it I'm sure of it.

@Ronnie I can always get you a quote if you need one.

Thanks but I have a feeling anything I save on the price would be consumed by shipping costs. It may be a good thing that my dealer doesn't have any 2015s in stock.

Hello! New owner of a 2015 242 LS as of last week, and so new to the forum/community. I know these things were designed and marketed to have it all as delivered...but has anyone pimped theirs out even more? So far, I did install a commode in the head enclosure...and I did permanently mount the fire extinguisher provided by my the dealer in the steering console storage compartment. Also, still waiting on a black "Premium Deluxe" boat cover that is supposedly back-ordered until after the New Year. Did anyone get one for their 2015? I am using the shipping cover, which is fine...but is already tearing around the tower slits. Lastly, any anchor recommendations?
