My 2015 Yamaha 242 Limited S

Im thinking it would look really great if there were just a few random sparkles in that paint

Here is my first attempt to wake surf behind the new boat. I couldn't really find the sweat spot with the wake, although it was way sallow (only around 5ft.) so I'm sure that had a lot to do with it.

We love our boat but the 2015's seem like they have a lot of improvements. When you stop the boat does it still spin or does she go straight?

No it doesn't spin. After you stop it will track which ever way the steering wheel it pointing.

@Williamsone46 , love the new sig pic! And thanks again for the artwork you did for me!

You need to find some chunky friends to weigh that boat down and make it lean.
I think you should look into a Wake Wedge also.

It actually makes a good wake. I think my board setup and lake level had a lot to do with it.

Cool video but it does look like you're going quite a bit too slow to develop a surfing wave. You need to have the boat to the point where it is digging in the deepest. I have no idea how the new boats behave (or the 24s overall for that matter) but I'd bet the ideal speed is probably 10 - 12 mph. Not to threadjack, but here are a few pics of the wake behind my SX210 at about 11 mph with an 800 under the starboard seat and another on the floor at the back of the cockpit and 2 200 pound occupants. Surfer is about 6 feet tall & also about 200 pounds. I'm thinking that your bigger boat, when weighted a bit, should produce an awesome wake!IMG_3533.jpg IMG_3534.jpg IMG_3535.jpg

@OrangeTJ I told my wife to be going 11mph but I'm not sure what she was actually doing. I'll give it another try next week at Lake Powell.

OrangeTJ, Do you have a Wake Wedge on your boat?

No, I don't have the wedge. Getting a clean wave requires a gentle turn toward the surf side on my boat. With regards to holding surf speed, I find it quite a bit easier than holding a wakeboarding speed, and I don't have PerfectPass. Rather than focus on speed, I just get the wake to where I want it and hold the rpm there, making fine adjustments with the off-side engine. On my boat and loaded like that, we run 7K off-side and 5.5-6K surf side.

Damn, you guys make it look easy but I know enough to know its not. Great video, love the music, kind of hypnotic.

Lake Powell this weekend.
