My AR240 upgrades and stereo build.

Love the vent. Nice touch with the Yamaha logo.

Nice work on the upgrades, that vent is very cool. You stole that boat from the dealer for under $30, I see why you jumped on it.

Very nice. The custom vent is awesome, and the red accents on the red boat has to look great. Would love to see a pic of the boat showing all the accents.

Sweet set up!

My first mod from late last year20130911_173548.jpg20130912_152542.jpg 20130914_132144.jpg 20130914_133502.jpg

You certainly do nice work. . . .

Sounds like you got a great deal on the boat!!! I'd certainly jump on that if I had an opportunity like that!!!

Now you can use all that extra $$ you saved for your mods :)

Thanks for the compliments. As long as I am not rushed, I can take my time with the mods and everything goes well. It's during the summer when I try to rush through a project before the next boating weekend that makes things sloppy. The weather has been in the 80's here all week....really getting boat fever!

I'm in the process of something similar, where are you putting the vent? I'm thinking of putting it at the feet of the forward port seat.

Just finished installing the vent a little while ago.20140408_100826.jpg20140408_103705.jpg

Wow that look awesome! Great job.

How does it sound when its on? Do you get any rattle from the metal grill being that close to the sub? Instal looks amazing! Nice job!

Sounds great.....no rattle. When I routed the slot for the metal grill, I did it the exact thickness of the metal. Then I gorilla glued it on all the way around. When its mounted, it is sandwiched tight between the frame and the boat. It worked out well. The bass POUNDS and the highs sound fantastic.....but in true jet boaters form, I want more. So I order new amps. I have two class D Rockford 4 channels and a Rockford class D mono amp on the on the way. It should roughly double my wattage to the subs and increase the wattage to my cabin speakers by 15 or so each. My tower speakers should see about 80 watts more each. Hopefully Ill finish everything this weekend!

BTW....the amps you see in the pics will be for sale :)

Another important mod.....20140408_162617.jpg

New amp rack.....hopefully I can wrap this install up today.
