New to me boat, having issues.. please help!

yes that is where I boat! I am going to replace the spark plugs tomorrow and give it a test run Saturday. If that doesn't fix it we could meet up? I will also make sure the oil level looks good and the filter is clean. It is parked on my driveway at an incline, is checking the oil like that worthless?
No, It's very important to check the oil after anybody other than you changed it. It's my guess they likely overfilled the oil on both engines.
 
It could be a bad connection or a wet plug on the wire harness, a poor ground connection at the engine. May be the hatch switches some people tape pennies to the area to push down the switches more. To check your oil be sure to have the boat in the water . If the air cleaner was ruined by over filled oil at a previous time before you purchased the boat it will still need to be replaced. As for the clean out plugs better put locks on them they are called blowout plugs and here is why, http://youtu.be/KhsnPrWt7nU brand new plugs can and have blow out .
If one engine is running good and one is not I seriously doubt it is fuel, but coils, spark plugs are a good bet remember the number 3 plugs are notorious to break off when being removed so if you encounter resistance on any plug , do not force it, stop and spray wd40 down in the plug hole and then retighten the plug then undo it until it gets resistance and retighten it repeat this as many times as necessary until the plug is out, also look at the plugs to see what they look like, they are the report card of the engine. I always use never seize and hand feel the plugs when I install them NEVER use a torque wrench use feel.
I have 700 hours on my engines I did the never seize before the engines were ever used and dielectric grease on the coils so they don't get stuck on the plugs when you remove them to do a tune-up. I coat all the engine with white dielectric grease from a spray can to protect the engine from corrosion and all the hose clamps , all the wire harness plugs This stuff is inexpensive and very effective even for your pumps pivot points of the reverse and nozzles as well as steering and reverse cables.
 
OP’s boat is a 2007...is that one of the years that water in the ECU could be an issue?
