Have anyone started their winterization yet? If so, what type of oil is good for the motor?

Someone on this forum mentioned Shell Rotella T6 Full Synthetic will this do it? or should I go with OEM BRP 5W-40 Synthetic Blend Oil?

Thanks,

Thanks,
T6 is diesel oil isn't it? You want to ensure the oil has anti-foaming additives as jetboat engines are basically the opposite of diesel engines which rely on low rev torque instead of high rev jet thrust.

You're right T6 is diesel oil. Thanks Compatico, do you any recommendations or should I stick with the OEM XPS oil?

Unless you have a really cheap alternative that meets the OEM oil specs, why not use what the manufacturer recommends? You only need to change the oil once a year so it's not an expensive job.

Ok, I guess I'll stick with OEM. Thanks again for the reply.
