@robert843 Help me understand. You brought your boat to Chicago?

@buckbuck I have been slowly tearing off pieces of the great loop. Chicago was supposed to be about 2 years out but @swatski volunteered to let me fly in and steal his boat and captain services for a weekend. We were supposed to run from Chicago to St Louis but we were cut short due to the Illinois River being flooded. We made it to Starved Rock before we hit a lock that was flooded over and we could no longer continue. I plan to come back up and hit Starved Rock to St Louis or maybe even further south at the end of the summer. Right now I have cleared from Jacksonville Fl north through all of GA and SC and hope to clear NC this year as well. I have now cleared a few miles on Lake Michigan down through Starved Rock Il also.

If you get the firmware upgrade from @Ridesteady, it is awesome. You can set it up to automatically synch the revs of twins, even when the system is off, it auto picks a slave/master engine. This system is so good, not just for watersports, it is the closest thing to fly-by-wire one can get, while still running with mechanical cables. Love it!

(I have no idea who in their right mind would buy a Perfect Pass for a twin Yamaha compatible with RideSteady at this point...)

Kids wanted to get the new tube out Saturday. Took them out to Lake Coeur d’ Alene and enjoyed a beautiful day! Costco tube is very nice for $200... comes with rope and pump too. Great deal!View attachment 94198
