really digging the magma grill! We've been doing really good staying away from people. Grandma wouldn't take no for an answer today, so we brought her along. It was super hot, damn near 90* today. Water was freezing, but I was sweating like crazy. So, I hopped in and out really quick.

Didn't come close to.any other boats! Did see 2 large pods of dolphins; spinners and bottle nose. Saw a large shark swimming on the surface.

Good news is I hooked my first deep sea fish, bad news is I lost my first $35.00 lure!

I need some trim tabs, the ride was quite rough coming back! Didn't keep me from running about 28mph and catching air off a number of well timed swells!72545.jpeg20200329_141432.jpg

awesome night time pic. Do you have a picture of the chartplotter set up in the day? Is that a 7inch one?
I don’t have good pictures of the setup as I have the boat in sotrage at the marina (will post better pictures soon) the display is actually an ipad mini with data running the Navionics app. It’s a great set up, it puts the ipad at an accesible angle (easy to see and manupilate). You’ll need the adaptor below to hook up to the window support bar. 55EEA6F2-505E-4E65-A83A-1B55B7EA6429.jpegD2CB0D54-3EB1-44E1-BACB-3DADA7687869.jpegEA141643-9C98-41C6-95D4-261082E66465.jpegC54A94C9-CD0D-41A2-8075-650DE20D7065.jpeg9D1FA773-7A12-42B5-87F4-F759CBFDD81F.jpeg

Oh it hook ups to the bar! Nice!

Did you use the Expedition to tow the boat? Is so, what did you think? Did you have to do anything to get the Expedition to recognize the boat trailer or just to make the lights work? I hooked the boat up to ours to see if I need a different hitch and check for squat. I hooked up the lights and no show. Went into the menus on the dash that's in front of the driver and it said trailer wasn't recognized when I went to do a light check. I was thinking it may just be a fuse not plugged in or something like that. I don't have the HD tow package because this boat will be the heaviest thing we tow with the Expedition since we have a 3/4 ton diesel truck in the stable for the heavy work.

Hey man. No, boat is in the marina. I'm still too chicken shit to tow. Only last month did I pull the trailer from storage to get to know it. I have zero towing knowledge. I did hook it up using a 5pin to 7pin connector. It picked up the trailer, I just had to input the length. Lights are recognized and brake is working. I also have just the standard towing package. Hopefully it is just a fuse like you said.

Makes me wonder if something else is going on too. The gear indicator on the driver display doesn't light up either. The only reason I know it's supposed to be there is because I've seen it in other people's newer Fords like ours. Whenever we can it in for service we'll have them check it all out.

oh I can fix that one! It drove me crazy for a while but some google fu fixed it for me. When in drive (not in manual, just normal D), press the + button (the one to shift if you were in manual). It will light up the gear indicators one by one again. I have no idea why that is a feature, or what the reason for it is, but it works that way!

Beautiful start to the 2020 season

Drove south west from Provo on a big empty Utah Lake.

I told my wife I put the boat in autopilot like a Tesla and let the boat drive itself across the lake for a while.

Then headed back north past the marina the other direction and had to snap a shot looking South.

Can’t wait to get home install the Marine Mat we ordered, service the engines with oil change, and just immerse myself in the lake. 7115152C-07CA-40C4-AEE4-F89F12150D60.jpeg
