Paint or wrap.?

Edit - when I last looked into it which was several years back it was thought to be exceedingly difficult to spray or paint gel coat without orange peel effect left, necessitating extensive sanding and buffing/polishing afterwards. That’s why, traditionally, gel coat has been applied first into a mold - before casting fiberglass. That all could be old news though. IDK.

You are correct, it will not lay down as smooth as paint and will require sanding/polishing post spraying. I had to change the link I attached in the previous post, bad link, to this guy that explains it pretty well, above. https://jetboaters.net/threads/paint-or-wrap.20564/post-352789
