Was wanting a 21 foot Yamaha. The wife talked me into a 19 foot since it’s just 3 of us. So we ended up with a 2013 AR190. But when i got it in to the garage, it was a perfect fit. Free covered storage is awesome!

@Mswilhide gotta love it when a plan comes together. Or in this case a little persuasion from the mrs

Excellent. I've been perfectly happy with our 19' AR195. And it fits in the garage too.

Did you have an issue with this part when garaging when the garage door is fully rolled up? Seems i had to back in a the perfect angle to clear it. I have a standard 7ft garage.

That looks awesome. I hope to build a new garage to store the boat maybe next year.

I've never paid attention to that piece on my garage door, and I've never hit it. I'm either exceptionally lucky, or it misses. I'm guessing the second, because I've attempted to take the boat out of the garage with the tower up twice now (in 4 seasons)......The garage door has been "persuaded" back into shape both time. It sucks when I do that.

Similar situation here. Wife and I went after an AR240 and came home with an AR190 after we realized we had a garage to keep it in.

Same reason I bought our 195. Plus I can work on it whenever I want. ?

Your wives have good eyes.

You'll need to do some adjusting of the opener, but all you have to do is move the arm connected to the track carriage up, and refasten the nuts. Adjust the opener's settings, and the rounded part will become your lowest part (which also happens to ride over anything far better with less gouging if it happens to be too low).

I had to do this with mine to be able to do any work on my car when trying to center it in the middle of the garage to give access to either side. Yours looks like a finished garage - you might even have enough track to move the opener back one more joist space and re-mount it, giving you clearance if the opener is also a problem.

Yeah it was close, i have to go in at an angle. But it works.

I had to extend the tension cable so I wouldn't scraper under my garage opening. After 3 different solutions, extending the tension cable worked the best. No more airing down or removing Bimini attachments.

That's awesome @LawRenceAr190. How was adjusting the tension cables? Any tips or tricks you'd recommend??

Got a 2021 AR195 and I've been wanting to do the same. My garage is only 83 inches tall at the opening so I had to take off the Bimini brackets and air down the tires (then aired them back up once inside) to make it fit but extending the tension cables on the tower would make my life a whole lot easier in the future. The port side tension cable looks like its going to be a bi**h to get to .

Followed this thread. I had something prop the tower up a little so the cable hangs low when trying to disassemble the nuts. I also removed that portside seat. The space with the seat there was just too small. Im a short guy but any room helps. Make sure you stretch. My upper half was basically inside both compartments while my legs were in all sorts of unspeakable positions. Wish I had longer arms during the struggle. Oh ya, wear some long sleeves. Unfinished fiberglass shards back there. So once the boats in the garage I used the pole that came with the shipping boat cover to help support the tower. I actually don't need it but helps me sleep at night. Hope that helps.
