Right! Now full disclosure that's a $150000 boat. But I'm pretty sure I won't have to worry about spray or being slow, or not being able to tow a ski or tube. I had a Avalon with a 350 blow by me both he and i at full speed i got passed like i was out of gas in bimini again haha

My vote if your going to a pontoon is a Premier. That's what I had before my Yamaha and we loved it. It was a 25' Grand Majestic and it was NICE!!, quiet, comfortable, easy to maneuver, and more places to put stuff than you'll ever need. The OE covers that Premier has are a notch above the rest. There are no button snaps, it has clips sewn into the cover that clip under the top playpen rail for a nice clean look.
Congratulations on your retirement and thank you for being there. We are looking at the same outboard deal but with a center console. Ordered a Sea Hunt Ultra 265SE yesterday. This will be our last weekend on the 242 before the dealer consigns it for us. Taking advantage of the market to recoup some negative equity and get a better ride. The Gulf is fun but I think a heavier boat will make a difference. Had one of those pontoons anchor up next to us on the west side of Anclote last Sunday. Twin 450s. Woooo

I didn't forget, came down with a stomach bug Friday night. Trying to get it under control to actually get out one more time before we sell. Bad timing ?
You hang out with us and you are asking if you are crazy, @Drift Away ? I think the answer there is obvious (and it has nothing to do with a toon)...
I have entertained similar thoughts. I got the Yamaha when the oldest was becoming a junior in HS. Now the youngest just graduated HS and we are on the verge of empty nesting. Where towing tubes with a boat full of 6 boys was once the norm, I don't think we tubed at all last season, and most trips were with 4 or fewer on board. The admiral does not like to boat (too bumpy on our choppy Lake Conroe). But I still like my Yamaha. And I have it set up so nice.
So, not jumping to a toon just yet. But watching your journey and the comments here with interest...
