Prepping / refurbishing the boat for next season

My black 10’ keel guard was delivered today and I picked up my repaired Bimini boot/cover (its gray and not pictured) as well as the black one I just had made. It’s hard to tell in the pics but because the black one has a third zipper I can put the boot on without unzipping the Bimini from the tower with or without the bimini extension installed. Whereas the gray one only works if both the Bimini and the Bimini extension are attached. Anyone who has a 2010 to 2014 242 LS knows what a hassle zipping the Bimini to the tower can be, these boots eliminate that problem entirely.note that on both Bimini boots the upholestry shop sewed in marine grade vinyl on the interior of both ends to help prevent rub through from chaffing against the bimini’s hardware.

The Seadek from Jetboat pilot got delivered along with the two pop locks/latches that I ordered. I just took the boat in for some fiberglass repair so I will install these items after I get it back and detailed.

My son and I installed the keel guard and bow scuff plate yesterday. We also put the new Bimini boot on it fits perfectly with the Bimini extension attached or not now. It has an alternate zipper which allows me to select between two Bimini sleeve sizes.

Today we cleaned the boat, boat cushions and carpet before reloading it and filling the fresh water tank as well as the flush water in the head.

We reloaded the boat earlier this weekend, I’m happy we were able to make all of the fit on or in the boat and still had room to spare. As it turns out I can’t install all of the seadek because I need to account for previous mods first. That is, I need to remove the bow anchor locker rails and rod / bbq holders i installed and still /cut the seadek first.
