Question about manhole cover position in tunnel

I have a 195S and the manhole cover seems to protrude a bit into the tunnel. Maybe a few millimeters, but definitely not flush. It seems like the angle is off with the leading edge protruding and the rear edge more flush. Is this normal? It seems like that would be an obvious source to disrupt waterflow and possibly cause more cavitation. (I have since resealed the tunnel.) This isn't the best picture, but I think you get the idea.

Mines a 2013 and both of my plugs it's not level .....does not seem to affect my boat.
 
@FSH 210 Sport this may be some evidence of what we were talking about, and your theory 🤔

@Jerlane are your cleanout plugs VERY easy to twist/remove? Do you know if you're getting water up and under/through the cleanout plugs - NOT just the symptom of water in the tube, but observed water past the seals?
