Hate that happened, but I'll echo what the others said.... take it to Chatlee. I had a wet slip at Crosswinds 1 year and someone hit my boat in the slip. I had damage on the front and back and they fixed it. Looked like new.

Been out a couple of times already. Post winter shake down at Harris lake then a trip out to Emerald Isle last weekend. Should've took the boat out again today, but had stuff to get done around the house. Trolling motor I installed over the winter seems to be doing good too.

We decided to ride up to Kerr lake yesterday. The water at Jordan is really too warm. Wasn't sure what to expect crowd wise, but Nutbush probably had less than 20 trailers parked there. Water was great, thankfully, since the air temp was 100 easy. 7 on the boat, great day, but drove home in some nasty weather. With the new bypass, its 55 mins to Kerr from my house. Worth the extra time on the road for us.

If you make the trek to Kerr lake, the 'sandbar' location for people is up towards the dam just across the line in VA. Of course the island size will vary with the lake level. Sometimes large enough for tons of boats, cornhole, etc, sometimes too small for a party of one.

I've been meaning to get up to Kerr the past 2 seasons and just haven't been able to make it work.... maybe this weekend. Have only been out twice this year so far. Actually asked my wife about selling the boat after this season.......

I think I know the area you mean. The last few years we went up that way, the "party island" seemed packed with boats. When we put in at Nutbush, its a decent ride up that way. The old man gets sleepy on the way back.
We did a small meet up a few years back, and made that trek, and did another one last year. Love how clean that lake is.

I haven't been to Jordan since our youngest was born. We generally do evening trips now and going to Harris that's 7 mins away is hard to pass up. Also Harris is so clean compared to Jordan. I always had to wash the boat off to get the scum line off our boat when we got off Jordan.

The 7 min ride is attractive, that is unless the " Holy $hit Siren " goes off like it did this morning.

Wow, did not see that . I just read the alert online, and it mentions Gaston, not Kerr. The admiral had a last minute thing in the afternoon, and we almost went to Jordan for evening dinner, but the temp was still 100. Could not get motivated to go....

I didn’t notice anything on Kerr. Drove up to the dam, hit the sandbar area a while, then found a quiet cove to float for a few hours. Really enjoyed that lake!
