Reverse module error

It's my understanding from the dealer 150 miles away, INR Module # 46135 was known to cause issues, my boat has a newer version. Plus the INR is a $991 part not including labor. I hope this solves your situation and allows you to have a good rest of boating season.
My local power sports dealer is still waiting on BRP to provide them some code to allow their software to clear the codes on my boat. Apparently the software is part of BRP and not Scarab. Typical "pass the buck."

I emailed brp.care@brp.com twice and no response. They really should rename this email to brpdoesn'tcare!

Turned out to be a good weekend on the water. The iNR assembly replacement, calibration of iNR cable via BRP Buds (codes all cleared), and a fresh oil change for the pair has worked. But now my depth finder started squealing at my all day saying I was in 1ft of water when I knowingly was in over 50ft. Also we are receiving a starboard engine code for O2 sensor now.

Did they give you the part they raplace is a guy that fix them for 300

I did not receive the bad iNR module back. This repair was between my delivering dealer and a certified service center, so i let them handle it.

Update, I received a call from the dealer today. They ultimately had to replace the reverse module.

Good day,

I have a Scarab wake edition 215 that gives an error:C2146 E Reverse error.

Could you please tell me what could be causing this problem and how can you help me? What should I do?

Have the same problem I already check every single cable fuse and relay, it can be the INR or the lever position sensor I didn't find the lever sensor so I ordered the INR it will be here Tuesday, some people find the problem on the connections, corroded terminal or broker pins. Check if you have any other code in memory and if show error only with engine running or all the time

Yup after going through everything and making sure all my connections were good it was the INR module. Had it replaced and looking to go back out. I think there is a circuit board in there that is very sensitive.

Scarab boats are junk. 130hours on mine. Nothing but issues.

My Scarab 215 is a lemon.

Is that a $991 part plus labor? I am in that same situation. I don't know if that module is with BRP or Scarab? Not certain Scarab will be around long term as this seems to be a very common problem with their boats.

From what I have observed, the issue is more with BRP and the faulty INR design. I can tell ya that with parts and labor my service call came to $2400.

I found a guy on eBay who rebuilds these modules for $500. Remove it yourself send it to him receive it back and install yourself. Not certain if the codes need to be reset, etc.
Nothing in life is an easy decision!

So I turn my key on and get e electronic reverse module error. I put the shifter in override mode, shift forward and backwards and the module doesn't move. I disconnected the cable and the bucket moves. The battery has a full charge. Any ideas?
Very late to the game here but if it helps other, I just had this happen to me on my SCARAB 195G. Boat ran fine the prior day. I just wanted to start it for 15 seconds and check the oil. Reverse Module Error. After 3-hours of looking at all the fuses, testing the reverse bucket, I discovered a pressable black button just forward and low, near the shifter. Huh! So, I pressed it and held it, I turned the ignition key and the engine started without issue. The moment I released the little back button, the engine stopped...HOW ODD, I though.
The simplest explanation is sometimes the answer. I looked down and noticed a red cable with a domed shape clip on it. OMG! This is the emergency lanyard you connect to a life vest, so when you fall out, the engine is disabled. I had never used it, lol. It was always connected. I guess I knocked it off when I washed the boat. What an idiot I was. So, lesson learned. When you emergency lanyard gets knocked off the starter button near your gear shifter, your engine will not start and your ECM will read this a Reverse Module Error.
Hopefully, this helps a few people that did not take notice of their lanyard. Otherwise, enjoy looking at your fuses and in the worse case, your heading to the dealer *sigh*. Good luck.

If it's the 2 silver (SAME RELAY) in the Fuse Box next to the Battery Switch ???? My dealer just replaced them as well for a Engine not starting issue. He told me those are problematic, I bought some for spares to keep in the boat. Good Luck keep us posted.

Been there, done that. I went around the barn trying to find the issue before I found the lanyard laughing at me laying on the deck.
