Seadek bummer <Cool grey color changed>

So I received my Optional Seadek Pads order today. The fitment looks great and so does the “Edge” style and quality.

However - I am bummed about how different the color is. When I ordered, the website indicated the cool grey over black was the match. In more recent posts, and the website, it looks like it was updated that cool gray was significantly different. The recent additions to the website actually show the difference, one on top of the other. This wasn't there when I ordered.

Needless to say, it's different enough that I reached out to Will to see what my options are. I'll likely send them back, as he indicated that they would possibly have a better match later in the year.

Agreed, the colors aren’t even close. I think it’s a shame that this vendor would peddle them for the newer boats on their website, and indicate a ‘closest match’. Not good.

I don't blame JBP. I just ordered it going off his suggestion. At the time,back in late May, they didn't have the direct overlay comparison picture. Now they do. I can be patient, i just hope they do end up with a better match come the fall. Now they have updated the website to show them side by side. Even then, it does't show how different they actually are.



Had I known, I would have waited and ordered once they had the better match.

Here is an additional picture for anyone looking to see examples of the “Edge” style that the X Series boats have. I really like it, just need the gray to be a better match.

Interesting that the lighter color actually seems to match your cushions better, but you definitely need it all to match. Probably a good reason for anyone considering getting Seadek to order all 3 packages at one time.

Factory isn’t Sea Dek that’s why. Will certainty shouldn't advertise it as a match.

I purchased extra pieces of seadeck from jetboatpilot a few years ago and they all matched perfectly to the factory grey over black seadeck that was already on the swim platform and on the bow.
Thought it was called Storm Grey over black.

I had the same issue - website recommendation was "cool grey over black" and it sounded right, but I think "storm grey over black" would have been a better match but not sure. Unfortunately I'm in Canada, and sending them back to Will simply wasn't worth it. After all last summer with them on, not once did anyone notice they were slightly different in colour. I hardly notice myself until someone comes on here to remind me.
