Show us your tow rigs!

So the SS has been having some issues. Wasn't going to let that keep me from the lake though. Used the wives minivan with stupid doors and big tires (Chevy Traverse) to get us there today. Gotta admit, it did far better than I anticipated. Was super nervous with only FWD on a VERY busy and wet Memorial Day ramp, but it yanked the boat out without a hitch. It's no 3/4 ton class hauler, but it got us to the lake and back with the A/C on, and the DVD player running for the kiddo.

Yes I know it's a stern drive, but I'm a fanboi of the Yamahas and hope to have one within a year. I even damaged my prop this weekend which makes me want one even more now.

Anyway, I used to own a Nissan Titan, but bought the Dodge 2500 with the 6.4 Hemi last January. I couldnt justify the $8000-$10000 price difference for a diesel with my towing needs. Night and day difference. I trailered the boat to a lake that is 1.5 hours away for the first time this season and was really impressed with the truck.

Nice Canyon. The only thing missing is the Duramax engine.

I test drove the diesel but the 180hp in the diesel vs. the 308hp in the gas tilted me to the gas. Plus diesel is 40 cents a gallon more than 87 octane in my area.

My wife has a 2010 limited and I haven't towed with it yet.. I am guessing by your larger boat it will do fine...
Full of fuel and gear and with 4 of us in the car I'm certain we are over the 5000lbs towing capacity for the 4.0 6-cyl 4Runner, but it tows great. We routinely tow 84 miles to our favorite lake, and that includes freeway and back-roads. You will have to have a heavy foot on the hills but it still manages 13.4 MPG on regular gas.

Your 19 foot should be no problem.

I tow my SX190 with a Toyota Tacoma, almost the same thing as the 4Runner, and have no issues. The 4Runner should have no issues towing your boat.

Looks like you have a lot of boats in your garage also.

2015 Toyota Tundra XP edition. Always waiting on the girls to get ready.
