Sharp looking Silverado. I love the black grill option on those trucks!

How does iit tow compared to the Durango? I assume the Silverado has the 5.3 in it? Been trying to keep my list of TV's limited to something with a rating of 5500lbs or higher, and 350ft-lbs or higher. 3rd row seems nice, but I have a feeling it's more sizzle than steak for us.

@OperationROL Thanks! Your truck and some of the others at Shelbyville are part of the reason I had " I need a shiny new truck" syndrome.

@2kwik4u The Silverado tows it better. Don't get me wrong I still think the Durango tows awesome and that is what I used to tug the boat around all year... The Silverado does have the 5.3 and the Durango feels much more powerful. The Durango is an awesome truck and I still love driving it. I use my 3rd row a few times a year but its nice to know I have it when I need it...

Here’s the only one that I have on my phone at the moment. 2009 F150 Lariat. 5.4l

Just an FYI.....Was doing some research on these last night. The 3.08 rear axle equipped Silverado's are only rated to 6,100lbs towing. I was completely shocked at that number. Didn't think it would dip that "low" in a fullsize pickup. The 3.42 rear axle trucks are rated to 9,100lbs. Tells me the chassis, and cooling systems are capable, just not the driveline. I was completely blown away by that. Glad I did my research, as now I know to look for the 3.42 trucks when shopping!

No idea what a packed 24ft boat weighs, but I'm gonna guess a bit more than that. I know it doesn't matter for my little 190, but thought some of the 242 guys might be interested.

2015SierraSLT.jpg Just brought this home yesterday......Not sure when I'll get to tow with it. Easily the nicest vehicle I've ever owned!

2017 GMC Denali Ultimate, came out of years of driving Lexus' and needed a truck to tow, but still enough Luxury to meet my needs. 20170429_115109.jpg

Man @Jaylex I love the 22's on that truck! I bet that 6.2L is nice too. I'm having a hard time adjusting to the lower power output from the 5.3 as compared to the fire breathing LS2 that was in my SS.

Couldn't find a Denali in my price bracket otherwise I would've been in that instead of a high option SLT truck.

@2kwik4u thanks bro...it definitely meets my needs and actually gets more attention than my Lexus GS f-sport....the 22s were a must, and you might be shocked but I opted for the 5.3 engine. I drove the 6.2 and it was a monster, but it requires premium and the 5.3 pulls the 240 very well especially in tow mode...4x4 helps on those slippery ramps....

I think I'm a truck guy for the foreseeable future!!

Glad you made the switch to "The Dark Side" of pickups. The Denali is a sharp looking setup for certain. I couldn't find a truck with the 22's used within 500miles of me. I got mine with the 20's and they're sharp enough to keep me entertained.

@2kwik4u how many hp in your SS?

The 22s drive very well, actually liked them better than most of the aftermarket wheels since I knew I wanted some bigger wheels.

@Jaylex the SS was a 400hp/400ft-lb engine stock. Mine had been rebuilt with a forged bottom end and a mid-level heads cam package. I was told by several it should've been in the 450hp/475ft-lb range.

Thing would pass almost everything but a gas station!

You mean this little guy was part of your inspiration?!
