@Speedling I'm so happy that you are doing so well and you're back at home with your loving family. Please continue to do what you need to do so you are ready for your Bimini trip. At least I hope it is still in the plans!
I haven't been on the forum very much and somehow missed this! I just read through the ordeal and glad to hear you are home and doing well. You have a beautiful and supportavie family! Hope you continue to get better and heal up fast and back to normal soon!
Today i had a rough morning with the unclarity of mind which i assume was due to medication.
I did go get a heart monitor and if anythingshows in the next 2 weeks i will need the loop recorder. The side effects of meds are horrid. I get nauseous at night, can't sleep, and the mornings have this zombie feeling. As soon as that stuff clears i feel much better but it keeps coming back. The doctor is still figuring out what to do with it.
My wife gives me updates on that wecare thing and you guys are so awesome!i will write more and more but it is very hard to type on the computer keyboard yet. Which obviously i used to do a lot of! The phone is much slower but i can work on it bits at a time. My left hand just keeps hitting the wrong keys at the computer, lol this afternoon the meds side effects are gone so gonna nap.
Thank you all again for prayers and donations and thoughts and encouragement. I can honestly say it means a lot to someone going through all this!
@Speedling, your body has been through a lot and had a lot of chemicals added. Hang in there, you will get through this and being home with Susan and your kids must be amazing.
The YouCaring account shows that a lot of us as well as your family and friends are invested in your future. I am proud to see JetBoaters helping each other out.
@Speedling Just came across this thread. So sorry to hear you are going through this, but very happy to hear how well you are doing! Sending positive energy your way!
Spent today at home and my wife babysits. Absolutely insane! Kids are animals! I was ready to go to work today, it would have been less stressful than dealing with kidsa lol my 3 year old is nuts and any kids around all feed off the energy!
Lol in the meantime i am filling out paperwork for doctor offices. Trying to figure out who does what and what paperwork is for where etc. Not only that but reading through 15 pages of side effects information on the drugs i am taking. It's more like figure out which side effects i DON'T have. I did actually sleep last night. Insomnia is one of the side effects. Allong with restlessness. Put those together and it makes for a loooong night.
I highly recommend not having a stroke guys!
@Speedling I also think it is fantastic how your family and especially your kids responded to this whole scenario. You - being so calm and analytical, listening and complying with medical advice, doing the PT etc etc. - are teaching the kids how to deal with difficult situations in life. Your kids have the greatest dad!

Glad you're up and doing good now it seems and getting back to your old self over time!!! Keep at it!
Sadly my brother-in-law's brother had a similar issue last week but he did not make it. I think he had the widow maker. Together they are partners in their landscaping company and both of them were on the same job site last week. My BIL looked over to see his brother sitting in the shade and having trouble breathing. A few minutes later he passed out and they called the ambulance which got there within just a few minutes. However as they worked on him they said he was already gone and they could not bring him back. So sad as he was only 35 years old and has a wife and 2 kids (5 and 2 years old). Life can be so fragile.
