Thought I’d share experience yesterday…
Whilst out on the lake, mildly choppy waters, the stern wet storage compartment popped open, cutting out the engines. Both of the cam latch arms were sheared off, one of the propeller clean out plugs had come undone and the compartment was full of water.
I have just been having issues with the port engine randomly cutting out, reading threads here I traced it back to the stern wet storage engine cut off switch. I did tighten the nut on the switches and also rotated the arm of the cam latches to tighten compartment lid when closed.
I’m guessing with the clean out plug open, perhaps the water pressure inside the compartment forced it open….
