Just popping in to say hats off to @Bruce for being a great mediator. Way to go dude, lots of tolerance and patience displayed in the many recent pages. I was behind about 8 pages in this thread just from today, you all have been very busy to say the least.

Carry on fellow jet boat brothers. I’ll check on this thread in another day or two to find anything new and informative again!

Going back to the Ivermectin discussion which I was too busy to address at the time, any Ivermectin discussion should be prefaced with a statement that unless benefit and appropriate dosing is established Ivermectin should only taken in relation to SARS-CoV-2 as part of formal clinical studies and only in forms prescribed for human use at safe doses.

For perspective, I support repurposing of medication. So much so that I have participated in the planning, conduct and funding of studies to repurpose medication.

Nationally reports of Ivermectin overdoses were 992% higher in August of 2021 than in August of 2019.

Screen Shot 2021-09-07 at 9.33.02 PM.png

This created sufficient concern that the CDC issued an alert on August 26th.

On September 3rd the FDA released this.

The American Medical Association (AMA), American Pharmacists Association (APhA), and American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) strongly oppose the ordering, prescribing, or dispensing of ivermectin to prevent or treat COVID-19 outside of a clinical trial.

Mississippi was among the first states to report hospitalization and issue a warning about Ivermectin overdose.

Overdoses have more recently been reported in Missouri, lots of good info in this article.

Kansas has issued a similar warning.

Arkansas issued an advisery in August State health officials discuss uses, dangers of anti-parasitic animal drug Ivermectin

There even are warnings out of Texas

And Florida

Additional concerns that may not be covered above are the excretion of intestinal lining which is sometimes incorrectly described as rope worms and the potential for serious neurological adverse effects.

Finally dosing per pound ratios do not apply across species. The dosage per pound for a horse, cow or sheep is unlikely to be correct for a human.

What about these guys.

Maybe tell this guy about your findings.

this paper written by the Doctor who won the nobel Peace prize for discovering it.

what about this Doctor that’s benn interviewed over 1000 times and has been nationally recognized for his low death rate. Guess I should beleive a person who has treated ZERO covid patients

This doctor in buffalo that treated 90 nursing home patients with ivermectin and not 1 died.

90,000 prescriptions written for ivermectin in the last week by Doctors that unlike you are actually treating patients.

There are Hospitals that are using it right now as part of a protocol to treat patients as soon as possible unlike these genius’s that say go home and take some Tylenol and come back if you turn blue.

This drug is being used all over the world as we speak.

For a self proclaimed top tier researcher a quick google search found these topics in about 5 minutes unless of coarse you dont want to find them.
There are hundreds of these stories if you actually want to find them.

Then you come in this thread and have the balls to say you only follow the science is laughable.

One other thing that I almost forgot about. Sending me privite messages threatening to ban me for being mean to your girlfriend (swatski) has no effect whatsoever. When you treat everyone on this forum the same I would be morebthen happy to comply. Until then ban away.

Maaaan. See. This is why some of us can't stay quiet. I'm only replying in case someone else comes along and takes this at face value.

In your post you very nicely show what the problem is. 5 minutes of Google Foo is NOT the same as a life long of training. You simply don't have the tools to see what is fools gold and what's actual gold. This is not a dis. It's reality. I have no clue how to do many things. And googling does not make me an expert on them.

Y'all keep rehashing the same old tired posts. This AAPS... It's an association with clear political agenda and policies. It's not a secret. Please don't take medical advice from organizations like these. While I don't expect an individual doctor or scientist to be apolitical, their science, a medical organization, and the medical care they provide SHOULD be.

I'm a doctor. Pulmonary and critical care. I have treated hundreds of COVID patients. I used ivermectin initially because there wasn't anything out there. I saw it NOT work. I then read the data and saw it was not good data. I have also continued to see many patients come to the hospital and the ICU after "failing" ivermectin. The thing just doesn't work. When good data comes out and we see it work I promise you we will use it. We are in the business of keeping people alive. We will do what y'all like to call a "flip flop". Which turns out is just truly following science and the way it ebbs and flows.

https://jetboaters.net/threads/the-vaccine.32090/post-568532 was nothing more than a personal attack. It is one of many that you have made in this thread however I believe it was your first post that was purely a personal attack. Such behavior is unacceptable. I request that we put this issue behind us and move forward positively.

so that was worth 1 strike. Could you please tell me how many strikes something like this is worth. Just want some clarity. Would this be considered a personal attack or a couple of legitimate questions just phrased improperly.

I have a question for you if a patient came in on day one with a positive Covid infection would you tell them to go home and rest and take Tylenol and come back if you turn blue.

The major problem as I understand from Dr Varone is that the patients that he is seeing in the hospital are 15 days out from initial infection. 15 days wasted because some Dr told him to go home and rest.

Please don’t take this Personel but because you have an MD behind your name does not make you a respectable figure. ( this is NOT directed at you) My mom was turned in to a 75 year old pill popping drug addict by three different doctors prescribing her oxy’s and Percocet by the bushel. Don’t think I would trust them as far as I could throw them. She passed away from an accidental drug overdose 2 years ago.

I know a doctor who belongs to the AAPS and he says the same exact thing about the AMA.
An orginazation with a clear political agenda.

I sense hostility in your question but I'll engage. Apologize if I miss read your tone.

Day one patients are rare. But are the best. Monoclonal antibody cocktail is very good at keeping these patients out of trouble. The earlier the better.

@crazy4life, we do not publicly discuss warnings to specific members unless the member makes that warning public.

If you feel something violates our Code of Conduct you are welcome to report it however you might consider letting bygones be bygones as you have posted multiple personal attacks that have been allowed to slide as part of a sometimes heated discussion. Once again I encourage you to return to productive discussion.

How you can sense hostility from the typed word is beyond my abilities. I just had a question on if you would treat a patient on day 1 to 3 or tell them to go home and rest. By the way I only have hostility for one person on this site and it isn't you.

@tabbibus - I notice you singled out the AAPS as an association with a clear political agenda. Do you agree that the AMA also has a clear political agenda and policies?

I did not single them out. I mentioned them because they were brought up as proponents of a drug that does not work for Covid.

Yes, I have been upset with the AMA on multiple occasions because of some of their overtly political stances. Health should be about that, health. Do we need politics to make changes happen, yes, but we do not need to be partisan. I am not an AMA member because of this (I do not give them money).

Man, I can read the tone from over here, and you aren't even pointing it at me.
Why the hostility towards me I have never did anything to you. I sense hostility in your tone towards me with that post is that correct

A. Political discussion is prohibited on this forum so we need to be careful to avoid it in this and all threads.

B. AMA is typically considered to form science based opinions while AAPS is less focused on science.

I believe you will find these interesting

AMA - American Medical Association ( AMA)

AAPS - Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS)

Cool - also, in the interest of clarity, categorically stating that Ivermectin doesn't work as a COVID treatment is painting with a pretty broad brush.

"The current evidence on the use of ivermectin to treat COVID-19 patients is inconclusive. Until more data is available, WHO recommends that the drug only be used within clinical trials. "

Right. No good evidence that it works. So ONLY use it if you are doing a trial to see if it actually works. So please don't use it in the community.
