I'm not taking any sides, but how do you prove a negative?

My darling wife and I have been married for more than 30 years. She was raised Catholic and I in another closely related church. Anyway, the Catholic church keeps records of all kinds of things, including marriage, births, and deaths. We planned to get married in the same church as my wife's mother did. When we met with the Priest, since I wasn't Catholic, he asked for proof that I was NEVER married before. Boy, that was a head-scratcher for me. ?

Anyway, I think the Wuhan lab leak was dismissed because there was not any evidence for it. Folks repeating something time an time again doesn't make it true. Pretty much like the crazy Chinese theory that the virus actually originated in Maryland, at Fort Detrick. Without any evidence, it is just speculation.

Also it would be nice if you would explain the source of your expertise. For example I analyze, capture and process evidence for civil and sometimes criminal litigation. I often testify as an expert witness. My interest in biology comes from a family illness for which I typically read 1 to 3 clinical or preclinical publications per day. During this pandemic I have captured and provided data to multiple epidemiologists and doctors treating CoVID patients. I communicate with such doctors on a daily basis.

If the case that SARS2 originated in a lab is so substantial, why isn’t this more widely known? As is now obvious, there are many people who have reason not to talk about it.

Point is - there is no definite answer as to the origin, and likely never will be due to China stonewalling the investigation. Anyone who argues otherwise at this point is just blowing smoke. Which was my disagreement with @swatski's claim.
