Water coming out of bilge

I was thinking of just putting a garden hose down the scupper drain on the floor deck and letting water flow down drain tube, open clean out hatch and look down at scupper valve above boat drain and see if water is leaking out of body of actual in scupper body. Good idea or No?

Several threads around here showing the nut on the backside of the scupper itself, which is right next to your pumps. You likely still have the plastic scupper. Fiddle with it through the clean-out hatch, tighten the nut, move it, basically check it to see if any "hairline" cracks open up to larger gaps when stressed in a different way than usual, such as when in reverse.

Running water through it is a pretty stress-free check, and likely not enough to show much.

What did you seal rub rail with once you removed chrome trim?

I don't have chrome trim I have the black holder screwed on, then a bulb-shaped piece of rub rail that slides into that holder

Some Loctite Marine sealant was enough to seal those holes up

That's a pretty picture. I think several folks had similar Glamour Shots, up until they grabbed hold of that fitting and started checking the nut on the backside and whether the hose clamp was tight ?

By chance, what's your drain plug and o-ring look like? Reverse would force more water back through there. That could be checked by filling that area with the hose after you put the plug in.

Ya, when I did some checking, there was water up to drain plug in v trough . No drips outside on plug. Not have I ever seen water on garage floor. O ring does look good, the plug tightens tight. So ya, I think I just need to get on water, open hatch, put in reverse and see what is going on and if I can actually see something.

When boat is in reverse, water constantly pours out the bilge spout on starboard side into lake. What is going on?
My thought on whats causing this . You have water in the bilge from some type of leak and when putting it in reverse the back on the boat rises slightly allowing the water to move forward engaging the bilge and then the water pumps out. I can tell you for sure were some water is coming from take a hose fill up your clean out tray and you will see water pouring out the hull drain. Using a neoprene gasket and screws my tray is sealed along with the inspection port. The drain port in the clean out tray has a one way valve installed this prevents water back flowing into the tray. It sounds like you may have an additional leak.

I used GE clear silicone on all the screws and under the black rub rail channel . There is a large gap with nothing in it fill it with silicone i was really surprised how much was used especially on the corners. While in no wake mode my rub rail is under water on the rear swim platform. It’s such a good feeling when you pull the drain plug and nothing comes out.

I wondered about that clean out drain. Didn't realize it had a one way valve, because I could see water backing up that drain and into clean out if there wasn't a valve. That drain on hull looks practically on water line. There will be some water tests today. Stay tuned. You have a picture of of what you did to seal?

Unless someone has intentionally installed one after taking ownership, there has NOT been any confirmation by any member, of any valve whatsoever, that Yamaha has installed in the line for the cleanout tray drain fitting of these boats.
