What'd you pay for your Scarab?

Interested in purchasing a 165 ID off the lot have no clue what the Dealer cost etc. is on the boat to know whether I'm getting a good deal or not.

I built the boat on the Scarab site and it shows a current factory promotion discount of $2450 and I was told that if available that could discounted off the dealers price just like a factory rebate?

With that rebate the dealer is giving me $7500 off the MSRP price of $33,000 (this includes the $2450 rebate). Is this a good deal and keep in mind I have not seen the OTD price sheet yet so hopefully they won't jack me with exorbitant Freight, Prep and BS fees?

That is a pretty good deal from what I have seen. The key will be like you said...what other fees do they charge? They should be willing to give you an out the door quote pretty easy. If not then something is up.

Wish I actually read this thread before purchasing! Sounds like dealers in the southeast can’t keep any boats on the lot right now, so doubt they’re bending much on price to strike a deal. Ended up buying mine from a private seller two states over.

Just purchased a 2016 255 HO Wak3 fully loaded, 84 hours, pristine condition, kept in a high and dry, $65K. I had looked at a few 255's 2016-2020 ranging from about $50K-$85K, but this was by far the best optioned and cleanest I found. Oh yeah - this is my first post!

17 195 open g with cushions, marine mat, t top and all 33k 68 hours on it but had to drive from Tampa to Charleston to pick up the boat

Hi Folks, just in the final process with the dealer for the 285, he wants $5,860 for the inland freight. Isn't that on the high side? I have brought several new boats and never had to pay for freight.

Also, the discount is 6.5%. We expected a bit more, following this thread the max could be round 15%?

Since it's an export, the dealer will never see the boat again, so easy money for him...

Thanks, Patrick

Model:165 HO Impulse
Price: $17,000
Purchase date:7/2020

I purchased my 2017 165 HO Impulse for $17,000 with only 17 Hrs on it. But it sat in the back of the lot for a year or 2 and I have some issues as a result. So far the warranty has covered most of the costs to get it working right. But it has been back and forth to the dealer since I purchased it, hope that ends with this last trip.

Thanks guys!
I don’t know if this post is still active but

Hi,

I'm new to Jet boats and new to Scarab. Trying to negotiate on a 2021 SBI 215 that is already at the dealer. Should I get any discount off the msrp? Saw mention of discounts between 5-10%. They are also asking for approximately 5k for freight and set up. That seems really high to me. I appreciate any help you can lend.

Fright you wont get passed, 5K seems high, you may be able to beat them down on it, worth a try. We just bought our a new 2019 and beat the dealership down over 20K off msrp. Don't be afraid to use a private broker, we used from AZ and we live in OR.

I’m new to jet boating and the forum. I made somewhat of an impulse purchase on a 2019 195 ID with 23hrs for $38,500. After hearing people with problems on here I’m a little concerned about issues on mine.

Oh wow! Okoboji? That's my home town! Haven't been back in a looong time. Beautiful area, but not the easiest to reach. Hopefully your Scarab treats you right.

Hey guys. Contemplating 2020 215ID with only 4 hours on it. Dealer is asking 57k. New to jet boats and scarab. Is this a reasonable price?A248D61F-A5D2-4084-819C-F7D8C5A3314A.jpeg
