Yamaha anchor locker ladder. Do you ever use it?

You could use the space to store your mixed drinks. Pour and drink! :winkingthumbsup"

We don’t use it, and I’ve been toying with a crazy idea of removing it and adding an anchor winch or windlass and anchor roller, haven’t quite got worked the plans out yet.

I did do that, made a proto type out of plywood, modified a winch so I could wind it horizontally And put the rope in the anchor locker. Spent a few winter months designing and goofing around with it In the basement. Never used it either! I had removed the ladder previously, now I leave the cover off the anchor locker and put the wife to work pulling in the anchor. I do have the front anchor on a 40’ bungee cord, always drop that anchor in 5-6’ of water and back in to the beach. Where I will either drop another anchor or tie up to something on shore, that way the bungee pulls us to deeper water prior to starting the engines, avoiding sucking up sand/debris.

I cut a 1/2" piece of stainless steel rod and hang my box anchor in there. Also have a fold out mount for the M243 just in case mofo's start trippn'. :D
Agree, a picture would be helpful.

Never used the bow ladder...might use it for kids jumping in the water at some point, but we hang out at the stern all the time.

@Jimmers, would love to see this setup...

Went to the lake and took some pictures, different views. My goal was to be able to have the rope go in the hatch, have it be as low profile as possible, be able to detach the anchor easily, not have the anchor hit the bow, didn't want it to interfere with my snap on cover, be easy to pull up in deep water(30-40’). Pic 1 is a front view, pic 3 is side profile of the bottom, pic 4 is of what is in the hatch when closed(underneath) pic 5 is the top view. Made it over the winter, Never used it, the mounting holes were off just 1/16” so it didn’t fit properly and then never installed it as the only time I would need it was for a festival that was canceled due to COVID. The crank handle is attached with a wing nut so it can be easily removed for the lower profile.
