Yamaha FSH 255 Radio Suggestions

picking up my boat in a couple of weeks. Is the stock radio adequate? If not what should I look at for a boost in the sound...

stock radio is so so,,,blue tooth is better,, anyway plenty of info on this site on that I believe, I'm going with a larger amp and sub woofer soon . meeting the installer next week , just head out and enjoy the beast and the noise of the jet"s !

Hey, how did you make out and what did you use for the amp and subwoofer, can't believe there are no adjustments on mine for bass, treble and fader, or am I not seeing it ?

Will be following your lead on my 2022 when it comes in. Money being spent and the boat is not even here yet. Replacing the bow & tower speakers w/ 6.5 Skars and the console speakers will be replaced with 8'' skars. Wetsounds amp will be replaced with 500W skar amp. Stern Kicker remote arrived last week. Will soon be pulling the trigger on the Kicker head unit. Thrust vectors & lateral thrusts ordered yesterday and on the way. #6 on the list.

Price depends heavily on brand and if you're installing it yourself.

Skar is a great sounding speaker I've read, and gets good reviews.

Some of us have gone with JL Audio, Kicker, or Wet Sounds, which are a little more expensive.

Installation alone of a complete new system like this could be upwards of $1k.

I know. I am sure I will be more than satisfied with the sound I will get. Maybe a sub later down the line.

I had the 500W Skar amp in my last boat and the quality was fantastic. My best friend outfitted his 210 jetboat with all SKAR and the same Kicker Head unit you have. The Skar quality is amazing at the price point.
