Yamaha surf wake wedge reveal!!! Warning pic heavy

I've tried that before and it feels like the starboard engine is too far out of the water. Just worried that I may damage something. Besides, don't we want the back to dig in for a better wave?
Make the wave you like !!! And have fun !!!

I have a 400lbs bag on the starboard side but when we were testing we didn't have it filled as you want the boat to list to the surf side. We had close to 2550 in bag ballast plus one person on port side and the starboard engine ran just fine. As long as the water is coming out the side you know it's keeping cool. Adding weight to the non surf side is going to counter act some of your ballast on the surf side.

You don't even know it back there. We drove with it in the up position for about 15-20 min boat ride to our riding spot and then back to the dock. Even at no wake speed and around the dock it didn't effect anything. In fact I think at cursing speed with it in the up position it wasn't even in the water. @jcyamaharider would be able to tell you as I think he looked back at it while underway. I plan on putting mine on at the ramp and then adjusting it once I get out to our spot and not worry about trying to put it on in the water and risk dropping something. When we have the boat at the slip I will just leave it on the boat since it won't interfere with the the lift!
You have a good point. I guess you could just use the turn buckle and bring it all the way up. The only thing about that is now you have to get the turn buckle in the same spot each time you move it up or down. Thats the hard part.

I do have a radiator hose clamp on board just incase I need to be towed. I will try that again and this time I'll look at the pee holes. If there is water coming out then as you said it should be fine.

Our engines have a dry sump oil system, right? So, sever angles shouldn't effect the way the engine get oil?

Once you find where you like the angle double nut the turn buckle as a stop. Then no worries.

Correct

BTW @Dave P did you get any pics or video up?

I prepping for the lake right now. If I have time before I leave I will get the vids up.

Don't worry about it....prepping the boat and getting on it is more important then that. Have fun!!!

Oh I am very impressed with the wave! Just not impressed that you guys found yet another way for me to spend my money...

@Dave P I think you may have lost focus of your cigar! Awesome surf dedication.

@Dave P , when you use the same ballast setup and add people , that wave is going to just keep getting better !!!!

Well I'm at Skiatook lake in Oklahoma today and tomorrow with friends. Ill work on dialing in the best wave I can and then take a vid to show the difference.

This is me (chomping at the bit) right now waiting to be able to snag one of these! :-). Since the weather is kind of sucky right now, I'm not out boating and all I can do is think about what other things I can do with my boat.
