Yamaha surf wake wedge reveal!!! Warning pic heavy

Thanks!

Sorry for the delay on an update and posting pics. We have been swamped!! I did put a test latch on my wedge this weekend and I think it is going to be much better then the other draw latches. They are 3 times the cost but it will be worth it for me to sell you guys a product that you don't have to worry about. They are a 300 series stainless steel frame and a rubber retention latch. They are a little stiff at first but since I had it on over the weekend they got a little better. I drove around backwards a bit to test and no stretching occurred. These will be going on the new wedges. Also these will be the replacement for any broken latches here on out.

Could be a possibility, does it lock down without having to have a separate lock in the tab?

I believe it does. . . . But worst case scenario a pin could be added.

Thought you might have answered questions like these more than once, but couldn't find any among the dozen or so pages of posts I scanned.

- Have you or any of your customers tried it with wakeboarding and recommend it?
- Can the combined Gantlin + Yamaha assembly hold up to speeds of 18-28 mph?
- Does anyone have videos of the Gantlin wake at wakeboarding speeds?

2500 lbs of ballast increases the size of our '07 AR230's wake, but does nothing for its flat, shallow, jet-blasted ramp. Hoping to avoid another Big R&D Project taking over my workshop and time, but our wake envy has reached critical mass.

I'm sure when things calm down , we will be doing some r@d :)

Is there a way you can install the mounting hardware on both sides and 'flip' the board for regular vs goofy? A means of being able to swap sides w/o having 2 units easi(ER).

No as I have said in many posts, the force is too great to make a universal wedge that I would feel comfortable putting a warranty on. The Wake Wedge is designed to have a positive stop for the ladder swing down portion.

This is the moment that everyone has all been waiting for, the patent pending Yamaha wake surf wedge introduced by Gantlin products. This device is to redirect the jet flow into the wake so we can make good use of the wave that these boats can make.

Everyone has seen the wake pictures so now I am going to detail the installation. The beauty of this product is that it is removable and can be installed in minutes!! Did I mention that there are no holes to drill into the hull at all... the only bad thing currently it is only offered for 06-08 SX210/AR210/ 212X/212SS and 07-09 AR230/SX230....model years may vary we will need to see the back swim deck to verify. Newer model wedges are being built now for testing. ( I already have volunteers )

What will be received with the purchase of a wake wedge will be the following brackets and pins for installation on the boat. The large aluminum bracket will use the existing holes that mount the bottom bracket on the ladder and supplied longer stainless steel button head cap screws to tighten everything back up.

Next you will need to slide the long side of the bracket into the trailer tie down loop

next we will need to slide the small side of the wedge into the bracket that we bolted onto the ladder,

Now we need to slide the long pin thru the hole to secure the wedge at this point.

Next we slide the collar over the long end of the wedge to take the room up in the tie down hook and pin it into place.

This completes the install.

Ok now that the product is installed let me tell you about some of the features. Notice the spring clamp, that is so we can use the ladder for re-boarding. Just unclamp and swing the wing down. On the back side of the wedge there is a turn buckle so adjustments can be made to block more flow of the jet or let a little more by. All components are stainless steel, galvanized, aluminum, or plastic so the wedge is full water worthy.

I am sure I am missing a lot and @sx210owner or myself can answer any questions that anyone else would have. These units are going to sell for $880.00 to anyone not on the forum but forum members will get a discount and can be had for $800.00.

Happy surfing to everyone from Myself and Mark!!
Will this work on a 2012 Sea Doo wake and on the "goofy" side

Will it work with 2015 AR240 HO?

Click our website link in my sig. Yes it will work with your boat. Remember that this is a jet deflector and not a wake creator. You have to use ballast and you have to list your boat. For your boat 1500 pounds minimum.

Wave behind my 14' AR240HO 750lb on top tier of swim deck [port], 400 in ski locker, 400 under starboard seat, 700 under port seat, and about 800 in human ballast. . . . . And MOST importantly a wake wedge.

Very nice wedge you've created!!

i see in your sig that you have a ronix 8.3 .. so to get the wake in your pics you have 3200lbs of ballast, the ronix 8.3 tab and finally the wake wedge you've created ?

Thanks

I am sure he will chime in. . . . But my understanding is that he wasnt impressed with the Ronix 8.3 and ceased using it.

Yep just as @0627Devildog said, I quit using the Ronix 8.3, it made my wake worse.

Cool thanks for the info!
