Has anyone used the new facility at Havasu Riviera yet? I'm going out next week ( 4/20-4/22) for Super Cat Fest West and I rented a slip for 3 nights so I don't have to trailer the boat at the end of each day. Any tips for leaving the boat in the slip at night? I've never done that before. Can I leave the trailer in the parking lot also or am I crazy and it will get stolen?

I don't know about that marina specifically, however every facility has different rules on leaving a trailer overnight. I have left my trailer overnight before at a marina when I rented a house that had a dock. It was nerve racking, just make sure you have a lock for your trailer if they allow it. As far as leaving it in the slip not much too it just make sure you know how your bilge works, i.e. if you have to leave your battery on or not for it to function. If the docks are floating just make sure you tie it up properly and put bumpers out. If the docks are not floating and there are large tide changes make sure you have enough slack to allow for the changes. Where I stayed on crystal river the tide would change many feet over night, the last thing you want to find is your boat tied too tight against the dock sideways!

not sure I would have thought to leave the bilge pump in auto and the battery on. now my new concern is showing up to a dead battery (Ha Ha)

That sounds great. If I can plug in my trickle charger than that solves the concern on the battery.

I did not use power or water but I checked them out and they were readily available.

Right on thanks! I may be making a journey down there next winter when the water is a solid here.. their wintertime temps are my late spring temps..
