The Brand New 2017 Yamaha AR195 and SX195

What will I be looking for with "heat soak"...
I am not exactly sure but with my boat the rpm's drop, might hit 7000 max, and overall speed and performance drop from near 50 to about 44 mph. If I have a few people in the boat top speed may not hit 40.

Very informative.. Thank you

My dealer just called me and told me he has two 2017' Yamha's coming in today but he doesn't know what models they are. He said he ordered a lot of 195's s and he'll let me know as soon as one comes in. I told him to text me what they would be willing to give me for my boat just in case I want to trade and I won't lose my ass too bad. We'll see where this goes.

I love my 192 but if I can get into the 195 with it only affecting my payment by a little I might trade simply because it would be a better platform to mod from not to mention it already has better cooling for the IC and oil cooler. Mainly looking forward to just test driving it first and play numbers after if it's even on the table.

Guys,
I have a question about trying to keep the engine cool or cooler. I know the best way to cool the engine is to get a bigger intercooler. Since everyone is looking for an intercooler from SVHO I started looking around at aftermarket choices. While on the Island Racing website they have R&D water cooled supercharger system. Has anyone ever used this or heard if it is effective? Is this any different than a bigger intercooler? Any info is welcome. Thank you.

Perhaps @islandracing can chime in.

Ok I've had the boat just a few hours and have a question ... I'm going through all the literature that was in the glove compartment and I find a part for a transducer assembly... What I am suppose to do with this??

Ok I got it blanking plug...

I can't remember offhand but I want to say that thing is for winterizing if you live in cold climates.

From the videos that's what I was kinda thinking....

Just a plug to replace the stock transducer if for some reason you didn't want it installed anymore

Yup it goes where the transducer is if you need to remove it. I can't remember but I want to say it had some writing on there about winterization, or something on the top. I'm at work so I can't look at mine.

Edit - found a thread on it https://jetboaters.net/threads/tilted-element-airmar-blanking-plug.7638/

I would imagine most of us don't use the plug but it's there in case you need to remove your tranducer for any reason.

@malibu Dan Great pics. Now we need a performance report!

Will do.. She's going out tomorrow...

That Tundra with that 195....you're kinda my hero right now
