The marine tex proved to be difficult to do as my seadek was already installed. I was not able to use a polisher to get it perfect. It has a slightly darker white color tham the gel coat likey because I was unable to polish and foreign matter more easily penetrated the porous surface. If I did it again and after the seadek was installed I would go with the 5200. If I had the chance to do it before the seadek was installed I would certainly do the marine tex and polish it out.
The wood glue spatula proved to be a great tool for application.

Sorry for the rookie questions but can you tell me what you mean by polish it. Are you just saying sand it down with some extra fine sand paper? If so what grit do you recommend. Removing all the snaps today and I want to have everything on hand that I will need. Thanks!

First step wet sandpaper 600 grit and then a orbital polisher with foam pad and polishing compound.
