JetBoaters.net Bimini Fling July 10th to 15th 2017

It may have taken us all week. ..and alot of naps, but our boat is finally cleaned and back in her summer home.

Thanks to @Bruce and everyone who had part in organizing this trip. We had an awsome time.

Bruce is a great man, very selfless when it comes to the forum and Bimini Trips!

@AZDANSX230HO this is very poor English, let me translate in Greek what you were trying to say.

"It seems to me that it is rather a genetic flaw associated with his character. The forum and Bimini trips are one of the windows which someone can be exposed to this mutation. "

Help Needed: Doctor @swatski can you shade some light if this is indeed a genetic mutation or some sort of a virus ? Because sure of hell, it is very contagious. Would it even be possible that those nasty Bimini mosquitoes are actually on a mission to spread kindness ?

@fromrio is also on the road after a week in Miami and I believe he will reach home tonight.

Glade shark week was after the Bimini trip or my big white ass might not have went. I have seen two show so far both have showed places i have drove my boat.

Normally we grill them but @Emma and @Gavin requested fried this time.

This is sorta Bimini related as we pick them up along the gulf coast on the way home and have contacts if others are interested.

@Amar Nanduri, We got home at 11PM from Miami. Getting some minor repairs done this week and back on the water this weekend.
@fromrio Already hit Tangier by myself on Saturday. Compared to Bimini crossing this is a piece of cake. I saw a pod of dolphins during the crossing and it was pretty cool.

We are home. I believe that just leaves @Majorsmackdown and @MrMoose on the road.

That tub of shrimp looks freaking awesome! I'm glad to hear you're all back safely and hopefully had no more trailer issues. Say hi to your gang from us. We had an awesome time this year and miss you guys already.

Smackdown and crew just got home today at about 11am Pacific time. Exactly 21 days out. Moose is smarter than me and planned a lake powell visit beforehand and is now learning lake Powell for a few days. I think that makes him the winner for longest trip with his double destination vacation.

We both @MrMoose went to the Grand Canyon for a day. I'm glad we finally did. If you've never seen the Grand Canyon and you find yourself close by - I'd recommend it. We hope to get back someday to explore it from the inside. Meteor Crater is also nearby and worth a stop. The region is almost a cellular blackout zone - Cell service and data are so crappy in the region we unfortunately didn't manage to get together during the visit to the area.

Lake Powell is beautiful and we drove right by. :( Timing was bad for us and showing up on Friday night without hotel reservations meant sleeping in the car. We didn't really sleep and woke up miserable from that and were still 1/2 a day too early for a hotel check in so we decided to just continue toward home. We wanted to get home but I'm regretting not being there at lake powell also. At least we're finally back into a really comfortable bed again. After a nap for a few hours today I woke up and had no idea where I was for a minute.

Compared to our Bimini crossing I hope everything you do and everywhere you go with your jetboat is a piece a cake.

Thank you John. Truly appreciate it. Bimini crossing gave me tremendous confidence to tackle the Chesapeake bay. Seriously thinking that exumas is doable, which is my next goal.

I think it's totally do-able. Plus you can possibly arrange a group that affords you safety in numbers.

does anyone have a shot of their gps or depth finder while we were out in the deepest points? I try not to pay attention to that but I have someone who doesn't believe me.......

Seriously thinking that exumas is doable

Due to limited lodging and logistics issues the Exhumas should be limited to small groups with great flexibility, care for each other, willingness to pound waves and experience.

I believe that the Abacos is an easier trip than the Exhumas.
