I mounted and ballanced my 5 new radials today at work. I noticed my spare rim(that has never seen pavement) was bent and would have shakened the trailer to pieces if mounted on the trailer.
Well after a long search and no luck for an exact replacement I called Robin at Carlisle to try and purchase one rim.
End result, she is sending me a new rim free of charge. What a company!

I got my trailer fenders (w/new braces) replaced!
Out of the blue, got a call from my dealer couple days ago that they have the new fenders for us. I asked if I can just pick them up, but he insisted they need to do the work.
Brought the boat there yesterday, got a call today that it was DONE! Picked it up after work - those new fenders look great and work great - SOLID fenders, no more shaking. The braces are massive and they even use SS fender washers over the diamond plate with nice SS allen bolts...

Yep, what a company!

And so is my dealer (St. Charles Boat and Motor), they have always been most considerate even if they can not do much about Yamaha decision making process. This time they really delivered for me, even while they are really busy with winterizations.

That service bulletin excludes my trailer. Mine is earlier.
I looked into that some time ago and I think that I posted about it. Basically, Shoreland'r doesn't need a Yamaha service bulletin to do what's right. @McMark, we have the same trailer, and Shoreland'r took care of me... twice.

I haven’t posted yet but shoreland’r is sending me the fender kits. I figured I’d post when I received them.

Thanks @MrMoose

If you trailer some you won't have to wait too too long.
I have had mine mounted - these new brackets are pretty solid. New radials, too - so I was feeling good about it... For about a week. And then, of course, @gmtech16450yz posts his awesome new setup. Darned.
LOL.

Its 2.5 miles to the ramp i use. And 45mph. No problems there. Will probrably take a while to have issues. We have been out at least 40 trips since i bought the boat.
So thats 200 miles or so
50 mile trip from dealer
25 mile round trip to my Toyota dealer to do my tires.
So there is very little miles on this trailer.

That's right. I keep forgetting where you live, surrounded by beautiful water. Not fair!

my dealer told me they only replace if there is visible cracking, so I assume I to wait for it crack?
I bought a 2017 242 Limited S during March 2017. I noticed the shake immediately when the tires were cold but it would go away or at least after a fun day on the water, I did not notice as much!

The more I read abut everyone's problems on this forum, I also did not want to wait until a problem developed and called CARLSTAR GROUP directly based on the information found on this forum.

It took 2 weeks but I got my tires yesterday!

Thank you everyone on this site for all the information!

The Shorelander under the 2013 242 LS I just purchased shakes and wobbles. But, based on the previous owners comments it sat for 5 years in dry dock at a local lake and never went anywhere except to the ramp and back.
If I recall Bias Ply tires like to flatten out when they just sit, radials don't (right?). My guess, they won't get better and I will need to put on radials even though these tire have no miles on them. I will be towing quite a bit and need it smooth as a babies bottom.
Its one thing to have the trailer wobbling, but this transfers into the tow vehicle and can make for an unpleasant experience on long hauls.

I would definitely swap the tires! Not too expensive these days.
Keep in mind, trailer tires' changes go by dates not miles. 3-4 years is about when you start looking to replace them. Less if the trailer sits.

Thanks for the advice @swatski I still have both boats (getting ready to sell the AR), so after reading this thread I took both to a shop and had the trailers swapped so I don't have to keep the Shoreland'r. I had a custom Aluminum trailer built in late 2016 for the AR230. It's literally half the weight of the Shoreland'r, has great disk brakes, radial tires and tows like a dream. I pulled both set ups 10 miles to the storage lot today after the swap and there is absolutely no comparison. The Shoreland'r tows like a piece of crap compared to the new aluminum (made in Phoenix by Kokopelli) Here are pics of both boats after swapping the trailers today.

They need proof of purchase and warranty (2 year), tire size and model. Warranty replacement claims are on bias ply tires. Request new warranty claim replacement.

Email customer.care@carlstargroup.com with your information (proof, name, phone, email, address and pictures of each tire). Request replacement of all 5.

Mine were:
ST215/75D14
Sport Trail LH

On 2017 Shorelander, 2016 242LSE

In your claim you just stated that you had bias ply and they were supposed to be radials and they sent new radials is this correct? My trailer came with bias ply and I would love to swap them out o radials I was just going to buy new ones.

You need a picture of your trailer vin/info plate which shows it should have came with radials.
When you take pictures of each tire it must be of the dot#
If you call the phone number on the first post here you will get the claim started
