Slowly pecking away each afternoon......Got the swim deck speakers swapped. Also did the two port side cabin speakers and removed the grill on the OEM subwoofer and replaced it with matching ones for the rest of the speakers. Yes the subwoofer was thru-bolted🙄. Little slower process with everything because I'm running all new speaker wire and rgb wire to every speaker. IMG_20191030_170032.jpgIMG_20191030_173050.jpg

Wow! Do they still fit depth wise? I wish I could put a set of those on my 2019 212x swim deck

Yes..... They even fit in the newly drilled locations that I made mid-cabin.

@redthumper9 , let me know if you're planning to sell the speakers and amp you're pulling out.
I sure will, but not sure what I'm going to do with them. I may put some in my wife's Jeep.

That is a lot of wires in a place that gets very wet . The salt water destroryed my Polk audio remote in 1 year use some good gasket material maybe even put a bead of silicone on the controller that will make the water drip down and not run to the back. Nice looking system

Made the connections at the head unit (stern remote) and fished the wires into the starboard storage. Purchased the alternate harness that some of you have used prior to me doing this. View attachment 107607
Harness was ordered from here:

I had a Fusion head unit and remote on my swim platform for a several years on the last boat. I boat in saltwater. The Fusion REMOTE handled it well and never gave me a seconds trouble. This particular unit has a seal around it and I may go ahead and put a small bead of silicone around it for insurance after I confirm everything is working. I also tied all of the wires behind it up higher than the unit so that water SHOULD stay away from the connections. With all that said, I'll never own anything but Fusion for head units and remotes. I was very impressed with what they were able to endure.

RedThumper, are you absolutely sure the smaller speaker is not a Recon 5.25? I replaced my cabin and bow Recon 6.5's with Revo 6.5's and the frame sizes were identical. The Revos were a direct replacement, screw holes and all. Only the depths were different. I think your stock swim deck speakers may be smaller, although your boat will accept the bigger Revos in the swim deck space. The current 212X won't, without a trim ring.

They are not the 5.25's. The holes and screw holes were a perfect match as well. There is a huge difference in the basket/magnet. The picture from above for some reason does make the actual diameter of the RECON speaker look smaller than REVO......almost like an illusion. Maybe because it's that much closer to the camera? All of the OEM speakers were the same size......including the swim deck. The RECON that I took a picture of came out of the cabin....not the swim deck.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. The picture does make them look like different frame sizes, for whatever reason. And yeah, the basket/magnet size difference is substantial. The Revos are really great sounding speakers, IMO.

We have sound! To answer some questions..... @Buckeye Fan.... The harness worked absolutely fine. All interior speakers are in and wired. @Hoyt.... From what I can tell, the single 12" XXX in the last boat in a ported enclosure did have a bit more output and maybe went slightly lower, but I am seriously impressed with the two REVO IB subs. The difference is marginal from what I can tell so far. I havent had much time for tuning yet either. Towers are being test fit. Hope to get those done tomorrow but not sure. All the matching Stainless grills look amazing! IMG_20191102_161740.jpgIMG_20191102_161907.jpgIMG_20191102_161916.jpgIMG_20191102_101717.jpg

System looks great . No eq for this system ? Curious how the wet sounds compare to your older system with the mx650 . It may be hard to tell without being side by side and more power being fed to them . How does the fusion allow sound balancing is it easy to navigate the boat and adjust bass and volume.

@Cambo .....interesting you brought this up. I actually have the Wetsounds WS-420-BT left over from my old system. I honestly left it out for a couple of reasons. One, I felt like it introduced noise into my last system. Not a huge deal, but it was enough to aggravate me. Two, although it worked great still, the faceplate on it faded and I didn't want something like that in a brand new boat. I briefly thought about installing behind the helm, but then decided against it. And three, I just didn't use it that much. I believe a well done system should need little equalization and with the exception of dialing back the "mid" dial slightly, everything else was set flat. Zone control is nice, but the Fusion has that built in. I have Zone 1 as cabin, Zone 2 is tower and of course the sub zone. All are adjustable from the Fusion app or stern head unit. I'll have a better idea of how everything comes together once the towers are done, but from what I heard yesterday, I don't miss it in the slightest. BTW.... This is the same amp that was on my JL MX650s so the comparison should be fair. I haven't done enough listening/tuning to give you an honest comparison yet. Maybe the REVO's are slightly brighter? But the bass (midbass) response is just as good or better. Once everything is in and tuned, I'll report back to you.

Thats awesome the harness worked! I've been worried it wouldn't! How did you run your RCA's from the harness (what to what) if you don't mind me asking?

@Buckeye Fan ......RCAs are run directly from the stern (head unit) to the amps. Ran three, Zone 1 for cabin, Zone 2 for towers and a set for the sub zone. They follow a straight shot down the starboard side through the storage and under the throttles.
