I had a Fusion head unit and remote on my swim platform for a several years on the last boat. I boat in saltwater. The Fusion REMOTE handled it well and never gave me a seconds trouble. This particular unit has a seal around it and I may go ahead and put a small bead of silicone around it for insurance after I confirm everything is working. I also tied all of the wires behind it up higher than the unit so that water SHOULD stay away from the connections. With all that said, I'll never own anything but Fusion for head units and remotes. I was very impressed with what they were able to endure.
I think you'll find that the swim step on this boat is much lower than your old one and you'll get a lot more wash onto it.....my Polk control now already feels like its going to come off....

@Julian ....I have my fingers crossed! After thinking about it, I did have a snap on cover on the Fusion remote 100% of the time while underway. I'll go ahead and get the cover for this unit as well. It's obviously not waterproof, but should help substantially in keeping water off of the unit.

Be careful with the grey rubber cover while under way. I am on my 3rd...

And you really need to change your profile to show the new boat!

Windows tinted this weekend. Yes I went 5% but I look over the windshield 99% of the time. Looks incredible. Thanks to Albert @ Street Sounds IV in New Bern, NC. IMG_2491.jpgIMG_20200113_115130.jpg

All good points. I need a second anchor for the stern to keep the boat from rotating, maybe I should look into the Fortress as an option for the bow and use the box anchor for the stern. Mmmmmmh 🤔
I need one for the stern that fits in the stock location.

Finally got around to adding my Cobra Fins yesterday. I bought them back in the fall just after getting the boat, but never got around to doing the install. We went out today, but my son drove 95% of the time and I didn't get a chance to get an opinion on them. IMG_20200328_102320.jpg

"Time Well Wasted" was retired with the last boat. Got the new boat named today.

Added the Seadek pad in the storage compartment. My wife said her feet would slide out from under her when she would squat to use the potty! Problem solved. Thanks @JetBoatPilot!IMG_20200424_181126.jpg

I may buy a potty for cold days out.
I really didn't expect to use it that much, but we've been out a bit earlier than usual this year and the water is still quite chilly. The potty has already paid for itself in our book.

Trim tabs arrived today as well as my CIPA mirror. My first mirror arrived from Amazon busted! Didn't have but a little more than an hour so made the most of it. For those with E series boats, Yellow wire behind the key for your auto up feature.

Well.... That didn't take long! I was temporarily using the two dealer installed "cranking batteries" for my house set up. I knew I'd eventually upgrade to deep cycle, but was hoping to get through the first season. Not so much..... After the first couple of sandbar weekends this year, I quickly realized I didn't have the juice I needed to get me through the day. Went ahead with (3) group 31 Duracell (Deka) deep cycles for the house and kept one of the Cranking batteries for the start. Too bad weather is going to be poor this weekend 😪
