We went into the middle of the lake. I tossed out a fender. Then told him to go off from it a ways. Then turn around and pretend it is a swimmer. Approach to bring the swimmer on the starboard side and stop at the swim deck.
Then, go away again. Come back and pretend the fender is the dock. Approach at a 45 degree angle, helm to the 'dock' and reverse so you are parallel to the 'dock'.
Then... and keep repeating until comfortable with the low speed maneuvering. When you get back to the trailer, you will see a night and day difference.
I’ll definitely try that. First time out was tough to really practice since we had the kiddos with us. They are a handful trying to control the excitement of just being on the boat. The next trip will be a lot of practice for my wife and I. It’s tempting to install cobra jets to assist. But, I’ve never met a piece of machinery I couldn’t learn, this won’t be the first!
I’m in Greensboro and its about an hour and 35 away but totally worth it. Never seems super busy given the size of it. Also a lot of sand everywhere which is nice for beaching and grilling out. Recommend Nutbush Access Ramp. Super nice with nice facilities and parking.

I'm in Kernersville thanks for the ramp advice, was at Belews this Sunday and around 3pm getting off the lake was oh so fun... We go to Wilkesboro Scott Kerr quite a bit, Lake Norman State Park (Troutman Ramp at the State Park), Smith Mountain Lake, VA and Philpott Lake in Bassett, VA . Never been east of Greensboro so this will be the year!!
From Mothers Day
The lighting in the evening as some clouds were rolling in was gorgeous and so was the water. I sold the Slingshot Board I had Demoed last season to a local so I broke out the Slingshot Pill and installed the KTV boots in it. All I can say is, I LOVE this board.
It's sad that I enjoy wakeboarding now more at 37 than I did in my teens. Honestly I will tell you, it is because having better equipment changed my riding. (Not a sales pitch)
The downside is, I hurt more afterwards...
My wife sandbagged me by lengthening the rope when I asked her to shorten it...

I just decided a while back that I’ll take some small scuffing on the bottom. It’s a boat and I want to have fun. Key is just making sure you turn it off and let it coast in and there aren’t rocks but sand. Then I just turn it around with the boys to get the speakers towards shore and let the fun begin. Throw an anchor to keep her from turning.
