Fake News Spreader!!!! Did YOU watch or read ANY of the testimony in front of the board???? Apparently not….
Yeah, you keep telling yourself that. Just my perspective. You do know the difference between speculation and affirmations? I never quoted as fact. I started with “I think” maybe you need to reread my post! :winkingthumbsup"

I honestly truly in my heart do not understand why inteligent people knowingly spread misinformation. It's disheartening. It is bad for humanity. Why?

I did watch. Oy. Is she truly wrong about this or does she know she's wrong and just wants to say wild sound bites?

I've actually seen this before. Here is a brief summary of how she is off base. It is a digest of her speech. But it gives you an idea.

@Tab Do you have any information on who Edward Nirenberg is? The only references I can find are that he's an instagram blogger in his mid-20's made famous by his work promoting the Vaccine on social media. He has a bachelors degree from Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, references to working in unspecified labs, but no mention of any further Masters or Doctorate work.

Credentials aren't everything, and I'm not discounting his input, but I think the Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular biology might be more credible.

@Bizywk, Christina Parks PhD is a teacher in a homeschool organization.

She is well known for anti-vaxxer disinformation. She is not someone that you should trust with your health.

This article does a good job of countering her disinformation with facts and relevant references.

fair. It did summarize well many of her points. Also see the post by @Bruce

I'm not a cellular biologist, not an immunologist, not a virologist. But I am a very well trained pulmonary and critical doctor, with a strong back ground in basic science research. And I can see through Dr. Park's talking points. I can see clear as day the misinformation in her claims. I may not be good enough to articulate them, which is why I point to the others for it.

Where is my statement I dont’ care?

You mean because of my “selfish” decision not to get vaccinated?

And that decision is going to kill others right?

Hey doc, I noticed you didnt comment on my wife’s issue of her new track record of being sick on a semi-regular basis now, OR that she cant smell?? Odd right? I bet I’m a “crackpot” for thinking this could be because of the vaccination…..How dare I, right??
I was taken aback by your callous remarks and glossed over the statements about your wife. I'm sorry she is having those issues. Truly. I do now know what being sick on a regular basis is, nor do I ask you to disclose personal information about your wife to me. But I encourage you to seek a qualified physicians who can help her. These are not common issues with the vaccine. Can they be from it? Maybe. Even a tablet of tylenol can have odd effects. But this is rare.

Most of the patients that come to me in clinic with issues smelling/tasting and with recurrent "bronchitis" or other similar cough associated presentations, end up being an ENT issue such as sinusitis. Maybe start with one of these specialists?

IF the vaccines are so safe and needed, WHY did the FDA advisory board shoot down the approval for the boosters 14-2 (yes, ONLY 2 people on the advisory board voted in favor of the booster shots).

Hmmmmmm,,,nothin g to see here folks, move along….

“15 days to flatten the curve”……
The following reflects my personal opinion and is information that has been taken from the pubic record.

First of all these vaccines may be the most effective vaccines in history.

Respectfully, you apparently do not understand the questions that the advisory board was asked and answered.

First off, the advisory board was only voting in terms of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. Pfizer is the only one of the manufacturers to request booster approval in the U.S. at this time.

There were two votes taken at the advisory meeting.

The first vote was a 16-2 vote against broad use of the booster, which would be given about six months after completion of the two-dose immunization regimen. The board members cited a lack of safety data on extra doses (this in no way implies a safety issue with the current vaccine) and also raised doubts about the value of mass boosters, rather than ones targeted to specific groups. For most American, over the age of 16, the vote showed that the vaccine is still effective in protecting immunized people against severe illness, hospitalization and death in the United States.

The second vote was a 18-0 vote in support of the agency authorizing a booster shot of the vaccine for people 65 and older or at high risk of severe COVID-19.

The FDA then polled the panel members for advice on other groups of people who might be considered for a booster. Though not an official vote, the panel members unanimously supported authorization of a Pfizer booster dose for health care workers or others at high risk of occupational coronavirus exposure.

The panel's recommendation will now go to the FDA, which is not required to follow VRBPAC's vote, but usually does. The FDA will decide whether to issue an emergency use authorization for the booster doses.

mRNA, do some deep deep web digging on previous mRNA based "vaccines". None of them are still used.

These photos are informative on what vaccinations do. In each photo the severe outbreak is in the unvaccinated person while the vaccinated person has comparably mild symptoms. This may help to understand that vaccines are not a shield they train the body to fight which typically leads to a milder illness. Often that is so mild that illness is not noticed.

@Bruce, I really don't see why the double standard here. Perhaps I'll get my answer in your response to my question in the last paragraph.

Other than you don't agree with Dr. Park's viewpoint, why should we throw out her sworn testimony in a field she is certified in because she's currently working in education, and then turn around and suggest we take an on-line middle school biology tutor's word because he said she was wrong? I appreciate your word of caution, so I looked into the article you cited along with his credentials.

As a JB Admin, you cast some shade on my news agency references a while back simply because you said you personally had never heard them before.

Your reference "Health and Science Facts and not gut feelings" website really appears to be a self proclaimed "Fact Checking" website founded by a former phone psychic, self labeled activist, radio host of "The Infidel Guy" and noted reality star from a "Wife Swap" episode.

I'd like to believe that Mr. Reginald Vaughn Finley Sr. is as qualified in medical science as his site bio says, but I'm troubled by the major discrepancies with his other published bios. So many differences in fact, that I really thought that I was looking at two different people for awhile. While there are direct matches of his education between this site and his wiki bio (i.e. his online degree at Clemson), there are a number of glaring differences too like whole career paths. Public relations vs Biology. The photos are a little different, but I'm pretty sure these bios are for the same gentleman because both sites show he's proud of his for profit Amazing Life Bio education site providing on-line tutoring for middle schoolers. Reginald Vaughn Finley Sr. - Wikipedia. I even respect his personal pride working with the Center of Inquiry - a non-profit dedicated to mitigating belief in the paranormal and pseudoscience and fighting the influence of religion in government.

Now, we should never dismiss or censor Mr Finley's viewpoint based soley on his background or viewpoint, but going back to your statement, please tell me why I should discount sworn testimony from a PhD in this science because she is an educator? Even more, why recommend that we then to turn around and blindly take the word of a community college professor and gradeschool science tutor who never worked in medical science and according to his own website, still hasn't received his PhD in "Science Education". I'm not sure how reputable this PhD would be since I can't find any evidence that EUCLID university, an on-line United Nations endeavor, is Board of Regents certified.

@Bizywk, science typically is not the work of a single “expert” but the consensus of the field. Regardless of who the author is the references in the article disputing her opinions are sound. That is where consensus comes in.

Mrs. Parks is not an expert and her opinions are not widespread among the scientific community. People following her opinions are dying at a higher rate than others who make wiser choices.

@Bruce I get it. You're passionate about this topic and I think we all have great concern for the damage this virus has caused and I hope the folks behind the Gain of Function enhancements which made this deadly are brought to account one day.

I think your response boiled down to the problem on this thread: We don't like what she said so therefore she's a Bad Person and guilty of murder while the former phone psychic is awesome because he agrees with the prevailing JB echo chamber.

Your opinionated character attack against Mrs. Parks being an expert in her field is devoid of any evidence and in direct conflict with her formal education and certification. I disagree with your ascertion that the cool kids in the scientific community NEVER get it wrong.

The scientific community becomes a religion when it gets bullied into consensus.

This is America, where people are still free to make their own decisions - even if some don't approve.

99.7% survivable without the Ouchie.

I'm sorry I can't understand how people who use the internet for their information can argue with someone who has real world experience with vaccines or experience dealing with covid patients.

I just got notice there were 8 residents in my mom's Independent Living test positive. Thankfully, all vaccinated. They are going for a partial lock down. Mom's on 3 liters of O2 so she really doesn't want it although she's vaccinated. She loves living there, but we might move her to our place for a bit. Question for the gang: she had Moderna does she need and can she get a booster.

Tough. Right now only Pfizer has the boosters recommended for at risk folks. And most places are not mixing vaccines either. When did she get her second dose?

One can poo-poo his lack of advance degrees, but to his credit he does have a LOT of links in the article to back up his statements.

Interestingly, if one believes the information that Dr. Parks shares, she unequivocally (although maybe not intentionally) makes the case for the wearing of masks in schools.
