miss my RAM ! I had RAMs for 24 years. The entire reason that I went to Tesla is because RAM dealers (and the entire industry) told me that my pristine used truck was worth squat and their shiny new truck was worth $10k over sticker....and look, we added all this nice aftermarket crap too! I got tired of the sales game and started looking at Tesla. Hands down it was the easiest purchase and totally maintenance free ownership. So happy that I made the change. Just need to wait for Tesla to make a truck that has a usable bed.
I agree the Tesla was a very easy purchase. I still have stuff on my 2012 F250 Diesel I do not use to this day. I also found when looking at other cars they were loaded with extras I did not need or want. The Tesla is pretty much straight forward; four tires, steering wheel, radio and a screen that offers other options. Some options I believe are necessary get the most from the technology such as premium internet, the option such as self driving only if you want to use it. (I will purchase on a monthly basis.)
Jim I will call Tesla for their mobile service as I really do not want to drive to a service center. However if I do I will probably opt for the one in PA as it is an easier drive
Wife is getting ready to take her annual beach trip to my parents. I was planning on going, but have already taken a lot of time off work. So I'll bring the boat home and dig into the bearing "issue" as well as replace the rest of the bunks. Replaced one two years ago, but figure 5 years is enough for the others.

Turns out Ferrari Parts guys are just weekend racers like the rest of this. Saw these engines just sitting around. Anyone need some $35k motors for their 256 Challenge car? 700hp 3.0L V6's!
Was also pretty cool to see all the street cars get to take a couple laps as well.

I've seen that before. Definitely a case of "the other half" there. Also, it's an interesting position we're in. I've been called "the other half" a few times, and I've only got a small boat and a couple of nice cars. Guess it's all relative eh?
It's interesting to me the amount of money that was spent on the Ferrari Challenge. Come to find out, it's not anything more than Ferrari putting on a race series for owners to have a place to race. Found some threads online that mention running costs around $50-$60k a weekend to run a competitive team. There were 20+ teams there. There is no purse for winning, just a trophy. It's literally a race for rich guys to compete against themselves. I could almost grantee that there were more crew in the stands than there were spectators. We had the run of the venue. $34 general admission got us in the garage, the pits, any seat in the place we wanted, and NOTHING was crowded. We literally sat on the pavilion at turn eleven on the second day. In the shade, bought a cooler in with us, parked 200ft away. I even commandeered an extension cord on Sunday and was live streaming timing and video coverage of the races as we were watching them circle the track.
I am curious what the costs for running a weekend event are, I was told about 30-50k for ferrari racing events. Do you believe this to be an accurate...
I think our heat index today is calling for 103. Its been this hot or hotter for at least a month now.. Almost looking forward to hurricane season, just to bring some wind and less humidity.

I’ll be there next weekend for NASCAR. Buddy of mine got tickets for his 50th Bday and is taking me with him. I’m not a huge nascar fan, but it’s still going to be a great weekend.
